ksu sucks Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Actually, Walsh fired the first "shot". Check his twitter. Quote
RowdyZip Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Actually, Walsh fired the first "shot". Check his twitter. Walsh's tweet was hardly a shot, it was an apt observation. Quote
ksu sucks Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Walsh's tweet was hardly a shot, it was an apt observation. LOL...I can't say I disagree. But he knew what he was doing with that tweet. Quote
akzipper Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 The pregame trash talking has already begun. We need to crush them Wednesday. There have been OhioU fans on twitter talking trash for a few weeks. Kind of funny actually, they don't care about Akron yet talk about us 24/7? Quote

Kind of funny actually, they don't care about Akron yet talk about us 24/7? The Akron fans have been talking a ton of smack on twitter to all the Ohio players for weeks. It goes both ways. As for that article, it fails to mention Walsh's tweet and Akron fans tweets. The "fan blog" called Ohio fans hill-people and then asked Akron fans to tweet at Reggie. Classy journalism. Journalism at its finest. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 if you want to turn it into a journalism contest, you might have better luck than some of the basketball contests lately Quote
jc125409 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 if you want to turn it into a journalism contest, you might have better luck than some of the basketball contests lately Just making a point that the article is a joke. Both sides were wrong to tweet about each other. Both fan bases looking like fools tweeting at the players. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 The site is "akronsportsnow," what do you expect? One fan base looks like fools constantly crying on their rival's board. So there's that, I guess. Quote
GP1 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Why are we supposed to care about what gets posted on Twitter? It brings out the worst in fans and is a source of evidence as to why athletes are really stupid in most cases. Quote

Journalism at its finest. No there is one clown in particular (probably you) who has been trashing Akron for about a month. Akron fans didn't start tweeting anything until after the OhioU dude called out Walsh. Quote

UAZip0510 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Yeah Reggie, keep talking about Brian Walsh's hair color though... Quote
bUAkronG Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Yeah Reggie, keep talking about Brian Walsh's hair color though... I hope you don't think that picture is Reggie.... Quote
UAZip0510 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I hope you don't think that picture is Reggie.... No, just pointing out that Reggie's teammate DJ has this on the Internet while Reggie is making fun of Walsh's appearance. Quote

zippy_ua_00 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 First off, I'd like to mention that I love all the smack talk between teams and fans. That's what a rivalry will bring. I love the competitiveness. People here complain about the support for the team, but when there is smack talk between fans they complain. As long as its harmless I have no problem with any of it and encourage it Quote
bUAkronG Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Just would like to say OU sucks, and my signature is awesome Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Just would like to say OU sucks, and my signature is awesome Agreed. Btw, i'm loving this rivalry. It's too bad OU is going to drop off big time in the next few years. Quote
ksu sucks Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Btw, i'm loving this rivalry. It's too bad OU is going to drop off big time in the next few years. Yes! Snarky, backhanded compliments are already popping up. That's the mark of a respectable rivalry. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 They're not even our rival though. Could we get one of these going when we play them at the Q? Quote
Dave in Green Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Rival: one of two or more striving to reach or obtain something that only one can possess. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Oh come on Dave. Then everyone in the MAC is our rival? Quote
Dave in Green Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Sorry, I didn't write the dictionary. Your free to have your own definition. Quote
K92 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 They're not even our rival though. Yes they are! The Attack U narrator referred to the Zips as the Bobcats' arch-rival at the end of the last episode. Quote
