The Zips play 10 weeks in a row, bye week, UMass, bye week, Toledo. Not doing us any favors there. I figured it was about time for a home game on Black Friday, but other than that, it looks good. 5 Saturday home games? I'll take it. Who's in for Lot 9 this year?

In. I think I'm in for Michigan too. That's on my bucket list.

It was always on my bucket list too, until I went there a few years ago. It's an unbelievable bowl-like atmosphere. 115,000 people, all on one level.

But, this will be an entirely different feeling going there for an Akron game. I hope a lot of people make this trip. It's only a few hours away. It's an experience that nobody will ever forget.

Their fans like to tailgate. Have fun.

Someday, I hope someone, somewhere can say the same about visiting Infocision. Until then, the few, the proud, the Lot 9ers™ will continue to do their part.

I hope you have a better time than the last time I went. It was embarrassing. Their fans like to tailgate. Have fun.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be the first time that I would be embarrassed at one of our football games. Worse case scenario I will be really drunk the next day drinking all of the beers of the world at epcot. It could be worse.

I like the schedule as it gives the Zips difficulty, but is not brutal. In addition, it is entertaining for the fans.

I'm glad we aren't playing too many back-to-back road games early in the season. Those games make it difficult to gain momentum and confidence.

Also glad OOC games are over mid September and there is a clear line between conference play and OOC play.

OOC...JMU has had good teams in recent history so the Zips can't take them lightly. CFU is what it is and Michigan is what it is. One of the nice things about the trip to Michigan will be seeing the stupidity of what has become of college athletics in person. If memory serves me correct, they will still be working on their quarter of a billion dollar renovation to their stadium financed by a taxpayer backed bond which will drive up the final cost of the renovations well above a quarter of a million dollars. I really envy some of you for getting to see this level of stupidity in person. The LA Lafayette game will be a blast and I actually have this game circled as one I might come back for. They play an exciting style of football and the fans should have a fun day at the Big Dialer watching the two teams.

MAC play...Everyone has to play two road games in a row. If you have to do it, I like where it falls in the schedule as it is on the back nine. I'll take two road games in a row followed by two home games in a row with Can't being the second of the two. I checked Can't's schedule and they have two road games in a row, then UB, then UofA. It will be interesting to see their performance in the third road game in four games. I also like the week off after two home games to tune up for a weak umass and then another week off to tune up for a strong Toledo program. I would much rather have a bye week late in the season rather than early. Two is even better with one being before playing a strong program.

Let's not forget this weak UMass team will be stronger than what they were last year when the crushed us at home 22-14... it was a crushing defeat!

I think that one of the landmines in trying to analyze the MAC is looking at the past year to predict the future. Teams go from hot to cold very quickly and that can happen to the likes of NIU and especially Can't. Can't could easily be back to being their horrible self again next year after losing players and their head coach. While we don't get Buffalo, we get Ball State, which could be just as good. Playing OU, Can't and Toledo at home is just about as good as a fan could ask for.

That's a good point. As I stated, it's not the difficulty as much as the pointlessness of the way it's scheduled that i'm mad about. Why even have divisions if you aren't going to schedule their games correctly?

That would be a problem if you thought that Akron wasn't going to also improve from year one to year two.

The players know what they're doing this spring. Compare that to last year when they didn't even have an off-season weight training program to follow and no idea what they playbook looked like to practice on their own.

hello new here, hope you guys have a great year this year. I always enjoy visiting your great university to watch either football, or basketball. You have the best college stadium in ohio, , the best alma matter, a figt song that's hard to beat and of course zippy. The football team will be back too. Bad break with the schedule. I see a few mentioning the Michigan game. I go to Michigan twice a year for football, you should have a great time. The best rows to sit in would be probably about 40 through 70. You as the visiting team will have seats high in the corner but they are still good. The only bad seats are down near the field, both for sight and sound. You miss a lot of the sound down below in a bowl, especially the band. If you bring your band(I hope you do, it is great) they will be on the field in the southeast corner by the team bench. If you don't want to pay $50 to park on the golf course on the south side of the stadium I have a great recco. Park downtown in one of the parking garages. It will only cost you 8 -10 for the entire day and you can enjoy the city and the great Michigan campus while you are there. Yes it is probably a mile walk to the stadium but if you park at a private lot on saleen for 20 you will have just as long a walk. Michigan is also the easist places to get out of even with 113,000 people there. The law library at night is a must see when when in an arbor.. Some great pubs there also and the maize and blue deli is a great place to eat. Finally back to the game if you don't want to sit in the designated visitors section there are always tickets that come available around august 1 on mgoblue.com you can purchase over the net. Hope you guys do well.
