FearTheRoo
I am sure I am not the only person to experience what my son and I experienced tonight, but I felt compelled to post this so others can hear. Consider all that has happened in the last 24 hours. Then we lose on our home court to a team that was beatable. It is understandable considering the conditions. I was at the game with my 7 year-old son who's favorite player is Zeke. Has his posters in his room. Talks about him all the time. Tonight he wanted Zeke's autograph probably more than he wanted the Zips to win. We brought an 8X10 picture of Zeke and a Sharpie. After the game, we wandered down the hall and stood outside the locker room door. Coach Dambrot came out and saw him standing there told us to go inside. I was shocked! I asked him if he was sure and he said "sure. Go on in. He'll never forget it" referring to my son. Needless to say he was correct. He got his autograph and a picture. Zeke said some really mature things about leading his team and getting them ready for Friday night next week. Later, he was still waiting to get KD's autograph but he was already in his office in a meeting. Coach Thomas saw and and took his program in, interrupted KD and get him an autograph. I have a 7 year-old who is thrilled and very excited to be a Zips fan. GO ZIPS!

GoZips
If you caught Coach Dambrot's comments on the post game show you got another example of just how classy your coach is. KD stated that the Zips will stand by Alex Abreu through his ordeal. That the school, the fans and most of all his team mates will not abandon him. When you consider and read all the selfish, childish comments Alex has made it reflects well on the Zips nation that we will not abandon Alex. I personally concur with Coach Dambrot. May only the best come to Alex. May he soon learn that a selfish attitude is not in his best interest. He he soon realize that we will not turn our backs on him. God bless. This has been a classy program filled with classy players and coaches since Coach Dambrot arrived. With all the negativity in the media about this program since Thursday it is a shame that so many people never hear about these types of things. While I know Keith and Zeke would never do things like this just for noteriety it would be nice if George Thomas and/or someone else from the local media were to put out a story about this side of the program. Hilltopper
I've said this before but it bears repeating. This program is very open to the fans. They bend over backwards to accommodate any request from anyone who is interested in the inner workings. There are no locks on the doors at the JAR during practices etc.. If you show up at any event and as KD a question, you will get an honest and thoughtful answer.

Sergeant Zip
Dambrot is a great coach, but an even better person:“It’s easy to be nice to people when things are going well but it’s hard when you’re down and out.”
