The campus picture makes the place looks like a medium security prison. Wish we were rivals with Cameron (#9 on the list). Then we could speculate about just how dumb a person has to be to be one of the 0.3% of all applicants that this "school" rejects. Quote

Zipmeister Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Coppin State, Cameron, Rogers State and the U of D.C. are all four year schools. All of them tend to attract people who don't really belong in college (kind of like having the whole school populated by varsity football and basketball players), but in most cases these students have nobody lining up basket weaving classes to help keep them eligible. They sat in the K.e.n.t student section, high five-ing the "on-campus" students during warm ups. Then the Trojan Horse opened up. One of the best college pranks ever. Next year the Rowdies should dress as K.e.n.t. - East Liverpool students. Both of them. Quote

If I remember correctly, the switch happened a few minutes into the game, meaning we spent the first few minutes having to cheer when Can't State did something good. I believe Wayne College is not listed because it is not a 4-year degree-awarding university as are the regional campuses you selected. Perhaps you should compare the graduation rates of the main campuses of OU, Can't and U Akron. OU : 65.3% Can't: 50% Akron: 35.4% Each public university has a different role and model based on the needs of its region. I'm all for a little smack when the facts support it, but this is just silly. Quote

Just to put your smack into context. a little more perspective... Can't is mostly commuter. main campus - 27,000 students with those living on campus at 5,000. Akron's main campus...27,000 with those living on campus - 3,400. The overwhelming majority of students at Can't State do not live on campus. BTW, Akron has been dubbed as a college town as well. Also, worth noting: Can't and Akron are in the same region. Akron's graduation rate needs improving and let's hope that happens as a result of stricter admission standards...no more open admission for The University of Akron. Those days are over. Quote
