PB1719
So, what is the depth chart going to look like? Offense: ---------------------------1st Team ---------------------- 2nd Team ------------------------ 3rd Team QB: FB: RB: TE: X (WR): H (WR): Y (WR): Z (WR): LT: LG: C: RG: RT: Defense: LE: DT: NT: RE: Sam: Mike: Will: CB1: CB2: S: R: Special Teams: K: P: KR:
LZIp
Im not sure transfers are quite set yet. I believe we are still waiting on Mizell..
ZachTheZip
Really hard to say because no position is safe.
UA1987
How's this as a beginning: LT Puhgsley - 319 LG Brumbaugh - 303 C - Switzer - 292 RG - McNamara - 312 RT - Orelus - 331 Other players may demand something different as things ramp up in 4 weeks. Captain Kangaroo
Really hard to say because no position is safe. So maybe the question should be: "Who's job is the safest?" Chisholm, Puhgsley, Brumbaugh and March come to mind.
UA1987
DL 1st rotation James Grice Caponi Capi 2nd rotation Horner McCray Hollis Presley All could start and all will play many snaps with starting jobs in 1st rotation awarded based on stats (note that Conner Seeman could see playing time). Very interested in our special teams also.
johnnyzip84
So maybe the question should be: "Who's job is the safest?" Chisholm, Puhgsley, Brumbaugh and March come to mind. I would add Paul, Switzer, Stein and Freeman.
Captain Kangaroo
I would add Paul, Switzer, Stein and Freeman. Grice and Caponi aren't going to be displaced either. WR position is tough to handicap, since they all seem to be interchangeable. No Suel this season.
ZachTheZip
WR position is tough to handicap, since they all seem to be interchangeable. No Suel this season. Zach D'Orazio, if healthy, is too dynamic a player to not start.

No Suel this season. Agreed, although their reps should (hopefully) be reduced quite a bit. It may be hard to distinguish the “starters” on the D-line by the end of the year, and I think that will be a good thing. Few players gave more effort than Nico or Cody last year. PB1719
@PB1719, Jatavis Brown. Where is he? Good call, but I'm not aware of his current location. I'm hoping in the weight room, or doing speed drills somewhere.

I look for Traylor Bennett to push Dillard for that outside receiver job.

PB1719
Kincade is going to be a HS senior, pretty impressive if he makes 2nd team Yeah, I had him and Hirschman mixed up in my head, good catch. I know there are a few mistakes, I just wanted to get the discussion going. Thanks all for your input so far. I'm stoked to see the next evolution in Zips football! Dr Z
I just wanted to get the discussion going.Nice job. I'm with JZ84 about MT-B. Coach is looking for a difference maker in that spot. From speaking with him, it "seems" (my interpretation) coach would like one of the freshman to fill it. Nobody thinks Hirschman will start? UA1987
On that OL chart Senior Joe Petrides name should be placed on the third team. Not sure where he has been playing but he is now up to 300lbs. Also, I believe JUCO guard Dominick Hamilton should also be in there somewhere. The rest of the frosh (Kortokrax and all) should redshirt.
UA1987
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Casimos was backing up Switzer at center for now.
zipsfan33
Fleming... again? No way he makes it past Summer camp healthy. He hasn't in his last 8 years why believe he will this year? I hope he does, but Ive seen this movie far to many times!
