Blue & Gold
We're also playing @ St. Mary's on November 12th @ 3 a.m. (Eastern) during the ESPN basketball tip-off. We'll face St. Mary's twice this season - if we end up playing them in Hawaii.
mes102
November 8th vs Coastal Carolina Quote from Coastal Carolina's men's basketball coach Cliff Ellis on their OOC schedule: “I think it’s a challenge, which makes things fun, but it certainly makes it enjoyable for fans and I think players get excited about going against big names and seeing how they fare,” Ellis said. “We’re taking on about every big league you can take on -- ACC, SEC, Big Ten -- and maybe the best team we’re playing is Akron, who isn’t in any of those leagues.”

After all we are the "reigning Mid-Atlantic Conference champion."
lance99
Coastal formally unveiled its upcoming season slate Monday, revealing an early non-conference lineup that includes road games at reigning Mid-Atlantic Conference champion Akron, Big Ten NCAA tournament qualifier Minnesota and in-state ACC foe Clemson, along with home tilts with reigning SEC tournament champion Ole Miss and Western Carolina and home-and-home clashes with South Carolina State and Central Connecticut. WOW! the Zips are playing city teams now!? Costal don't think to highly of themselves

mes102
Do we know of any other non-conference opponents that we're supposed to have? Do we have a bracketbuster return game?
RowdyZip
Last I heard, we have one, maybe two, games left to get nailed down in order to announce the full schedule.
GoZips
Last I heard, we have one, maybe two, games left to get nailed down in order to announce the full schedule. The schedule has been done for more than a month. There is a planned date to release it. Since I always take flak for revealing the OOC schedule, I decided to say nothing this year. You all have the important games already. There are no surprises waiting to be sprung. Of interest is that next season (2014-15) is also completed. Some surprises coming. Staton14
I saw on twitter (from someone in the athletic department at Marshall) that the Thundering Herd will be coming to the JAR on January 2. https://twitter.com/GrantTraylor/status/372400777458753536
Dave in Green
That's the makeup game for last year when Princeton filled the Marshall date with the Zips so Marshall could play in a tournament instead.
