But the fact that we're talking about a heartbreaking loss to #11 in the country, Michigan, instead of a 40 point blowout, I'm proud to be an Akron fan. Michigan will fall so far in the poll, that it will look like Akron beat Michigan today. Well done Zips, well done!!!! Only part I can say is this: 1) FG miss at end of 1st half 2) Two times we got inside Michigan's 2 yd line and got no points(INT and Turnover on Downs). Michigan got really lucky today. I do not want to be a player on that Michigan team for the very next practice. Hoke will treat this like a loss for sure. Quote

Still, there are huge positives to take from the game and, as much as a loss can be, this has to be a confidence builder for the players. This was not a fluky game. Akron played head-to-head with Michigan on both sides of the ball all game long. What a gutty drive at the end of the game. If only it would have been 1st down inside the one. If, if, if. Quote

The announcers said we for sure had the first (although they loved Michigan too much to disagree when the reversal was announced). They also said we should have 23 seconds on the clock (clock showed 15 seconds). The third down play that then occurred was in real time 5 seconds or so. However 11 SECONDS came off the clock???? How???? It should have been first and goal at the 1 with 23 seconds and 1 timeout remaining......screwed.... Quote
