Staton14
I didn't know where to post it, so I started a new thread...The video staff just posted a great season highlight video that I think everyone should check out.
LZIp
Here are the season awards as well. Figured I might as well put it here instead of starting a new one http://gozips.com/sports/fball/2013-14/rel.../20131208nhfrb8
LZIp
One thing that stuck out to me is that Hakeem Lawrence was named scout team DPOY. He was a freshman running back last season who got some time, but red-shirted this year. Maybe a move to DB?

Let's hope the switch pays off next year.

Balsy
Bleh...boring video. Last year's was so much more engaging I thought.

The Defense Scout team is comprised of offensive players and vice-versa (the D Scout team runs the opposing team offense to prepare the Zips D for the upcoming game). Hakeem is a RB and could be a special one over the next three years.
johnnyzip84
Good catch. I didn't even realize that. I just kinda glanced over it. Let's hope the switch pays off next year. I saw that as well, but I believe it's a typo because Varnell Garrett (listed as scout team offensive POTY) is a D-Linemen. I think they probably mixed up the scout team offensive and defensive POTY titles. Edit: Apparently, I'm the one who is mixed up.....not the 1st time and won't be the last! Thanks for the explanation, Zip76

Big Zip
Am I the only one that was surprised Chisholm was the offensive player of the year? Maybe it isn't a surprise and it just says how poor our offense was this year. I wasn't impressed with Chisholm this year at all and I hope we see a RB that comes in next year to take his place. Dr Z
Am I the only oneNo. Your QB should be your offensive player of the year. He is the leader of the offense. Here is to hoping that our QB (deserving) is the offensive player of the year next year.
Buckzip
The only sad part of that video was seeing the empty stadium so much.
Staton14
The only sad part of that video was seeing the empty stadium so much. Agreed. Almost made the games seem less meaningful. Although when I was at the games, they didn't feel that way at all. I enjoyed every game (except the Ohio game).
MDZip
Bleacher Report ranked all 126 FBS team after the season and the Zips finished at 101. Of course being Bleacher Report they had to not pay that much attanetion and do something stupid like pick a team the Zips beat and finished lower in the MAC standings ahead of them as team 99. How the hell did CNN think these guys would be an appropriate sports partner site?
Balsy
How the hell did CNN think these guys would be an appropriate sports partner site? They also say that the Zips had 5-7 wins, which is AS MANY WINS as they got in the last four seasons combined. Which isn't true. 3-9, 1-11,1-11, 1-11, adds up to six wins...not 5. It's apparently always fun to bash the underdogs. I mean it's lazy reporting, which is the vast majority of communications in general these days. Facts be damned when your a reporter, because it's not like anyone is going to fact check you.
