Looking forward to National Signing Day

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of guys out there that haven't decided that are waiting on "better offers". When those offers don't come they will be signing with UA and others. If you really think Bowden is only going to sign as many players as we currently show as commits, I think you will be surprised on NSD.

Forgot about this article.

So, greyshirts that are becoming eligible are:

WR Anthony Lauro

LB Jerome Lane

LB Deon’Tae Moore

DT Lavonne Gauthney

Then there's Pittman as a transfer. Am I missing any other transfers or greyshirts?

Add that to the class, and you have anywhere between 13 and 16 new scholarship players. Assuming nobody from this new class greyshirts.

He cancelled a visit with New Mexico and decided to take an official at Akron. He is down to us and Army, who he will be visiting this weekend.

Saw this morning Connor Krizanic is wavering on his commit to Cincy and OU was in attendance at his basketball game this week. Connor verbaled to Cincy as a WR but played QB his senior season after Mitch Trubiski graduated with a full scholarship to UNC. Krizanic preceeded to take Mentor to the State Championships where they put up 50+ points in a losing effort. I have to believe Krizanic is now wavering because OU came calling with a QB offer. He finished the year with over 3,600 passing and 1,600 rushing and is going to be a good fit in the MAC as a QB. Would love to see him in a Zips uniform but sounds like we are going to have the unfortunate experience of playing against him.

On another note Ragland the QB for Moeller (the other team in the State Championship) had no offers prior to the game and verballed to Miami a few weeks later. He is more runner than passer but he sure looked good in the State Championship.

With QBs like this entering the MAC it looks like we are going to need to stock up to stop the Jordan Lynch style offenses in the near future.

A little update on Jamal Baggett.....this is from the Army site on rivals. He would be a great pickup late.

So where is Baggett leaning?

"It's kind of neck and neck right now, but I won't lie and that the University of Akron is where I'm kind of leaning towards now," he added. "However, it's going to be a rough 48-hours for me." - See more at: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1605128#sthash.YaRBCkvR.dpuf
