johnnyzip84
Zips are 1 1/2 point favorites. Harney is apparently back, but how much has he practiced?Mellett used to be a house of horrors, so hopefully there won't be a reprise tonight. Tough game to gauge. This could well set the tone for the rest of the season. A win might get the team back on track for a decent stretch run. A loss will put the 20 wins streak in jeopardy. phil
I think that Deji will probably get the start tonight over Cheatham based upon his play on Sat. He had a great game on Sat. and hopefully this will continue. Bentacourt and Evans shot 1 of 9 on Sat with 7 of the shots being 3 pointers. They have to do better if we are going to win. I did not think the team quit but they had another awful start scoring only 2 points in the first five minutes and never seemed to recover after going down 12 points. Tree took 5 jump shots to being the game and missed all of them even though they were open looks. Our post players are getting double teamed and having problems passing the ball to the open man. I like the way Ohio U. had players move without the ball and take 10 foot jump shots off the screens with a catch and shoot. Our players still do not move well without the ball and everything seems to be off the dribble. If we win this game and get Kretzer back soon we may be able to make a run and get to the tournament. GJGood
I am hoping Kwan gets going from the outside, that could loosen up the interior defense for Tree and our "bigs".
skip-zip
A rested and hungry Nick Harney might be just what the doctor ordered. I'm ready for a 4-game win streak. The stage is certainly set for that.
Sportsjunkie330
Now is the time of the year when all the pieces seem to fall in place. Hopefully it will happen again this year and they can make a nice run to end the MAC season and take it in to the Q.
zippy5
In the long run, it really helps this team to have Big Dog, Kwan and to an extent Deji get some experience during this stretch. If we can tread water and stay in the top 4, I really like where we're at if Jake and Reggie can contribute at the Q.

ziptrumpet87
Just picked this up... hope the shooting % is just due to being cold and not Miami defense. How did we get a T? (assuming ESPN box score is correct)
zippy5
This may come as a surprise but we aren't going to win many games when Tree and Q have 4 combined points. They're doubling Tree as soon as he touches it.. Hopefully KD adjusts and gets him the ball off a screen, or Tree can start finding the open man quicker. I'm afraid to say anything negative about Q so I just suppose I'll say I hope he has a better second half.
mes102
My take on the Miami-Akron games tonight:From the JAR:Lady Zips 48Miami 29 Luburgh with 24 pts at the half. Cassell with 10 assists at the half as well. Lady Zips would be up 25-30 pts if not for their foul trouble. From Millet Hall:Zips 20Miami 27At least it's good to see Big Dog producing. Surprised when I saw Deji had 6 points. Need some production from the guards. Tree should get more in the 2nd half. Good to see Harney on the floor. Might take a while to get back in the flow. Zipgrad01
Worst zips team in a decade. This is absolutely painful to watch. I don't want anyone to say anything about talent. This team doesn't have much.
Quickzips
Pretty simple to play the Zips right now.Pack everyone in the lane. Double every touch in the post. Dare us to shoot 3s.When Deji is our best player we've got absolutely zero chance at bringing home a win. This mess of a season can't end soon enough.
