Jalapeño Zippy
Is it ESPN 3 only if you have TWC? That was my experience last year and I couldn't watch the games because they were blacked out.

Staton14
That is hard to believe. They have been making the freshmen very aware of the game, from what I've heard.
Staton14
I think it should be a good student turnout. They have been making the freshmen very aware of the game, from what I've heard.Which is a good game to have them come to, as it should be an easy win and will hopefully lead them to come to the next home game as well. Balsy
Yeah...being a THURSDAY night game on the first week, no-one will be heading home for the weekend. The REC Center will be closed. More off-campus student apartments are closer to the stadium than ever before. More "commuter" students (those living in apartments) are closer than they ever were before. Bowden indoctrinated the freshman class during the week-of-welcome (the entire freshman class filled up the 1/2 of the lower bowl basically). Student attendance should be rather good. Now Zips, bring us a win so we can keep them. There also is a grad student offering extra credit to her freshman students whom go to the game and take a selfie at the game. I may or may not have influenced that.

skip-zip
I think it should be a good student turnout. They have been making the freshmen very aware of the game, from what I've heard. In comparing this to my professional life, just getting people to the point of being "aware" of your existence does not sell what you are selling. Everyone knows that we have a football team, and plenty of student population will be on campus on Thursday night. It will probably be unavoidable not to know that there is a football game. However, the much bigger question, and the much bigger challenge is.....Are they sold on the idea that being at Infocision Stadium at 7pm tomorrow is a good option for spending a couple of hours of their time? If that's not the case, throwing schedules in their faces accomplishes ZERO. We'll see. But, I agree that a Thursday night opener during the first week of school is probably the most optimal situation for gaining some additional students. UA1987
It's my guess that we will hear about Tommy Brown and Scott Boyett in the 6 o'clock pre-game with French. We need these two to get their timing down with the guards for the game against against Penn State. If they are active against Howard slug a beer to celebrate. skip-zip
By the way....Fox Sports "predicts" the Zips will be in the Idaho Potato Bowl. Been there. Not exciting, but I will take a bowl game any way I can get it.

UA1987
Anyone have bison burgers tonight (sorry JZ84 - walked thru lot 9 at 4:30 and no bison burg sighting)? Howard is actually very talented, but the 2014 Zips are too. 35 - 10 Akron. By the way, Manny's was dead early despite $1.50 pints.
ZippyRulz
What channel is espn3 on time warnerESPN3 is an online channel through espn.com. But you have to be a customer of one of a list of cable companies in order to access it. Google espn3 and you will find it. IIRC you need to create a login to watch.
