Balsy
Is UAB's program any worse off than Akron's? Like...could this be where Akron heads eventually?
ZachTheZip
Is UAB's program any worse off than Akron's? Like...could this be where Akron heads eventually? It's not the program, its the leadership. UAB is a campus of the University of Alabama system. They share their board of trustees with the Crimson Tide. When Nick Saban is whispering in their ears, seeing your program as money that could instead go toward buying him a gold-plated bathroom next to his office, and Paul Bryant Jr is looking to exact revenge for a decades-old grudge, and the entire board of trustees comes from Tuscaloosa, your program doesn't stand a chance. Dr Z
Rumors of a program's demise: http://footballscoop.com/news/save-uab-fotball/Any chance they have some talent at offensive skill positions? I know some coaches familiar with the area that can use some on their team

Tressel will be meeting with himself tomorrow to determine the future of YSU's HC. Seems they are only averaging 7 wins over the last few years. ZippyRulz
Seems like he is better at firing coaches than raising money for basketball arenas. Well that was quick and decisive. That's a tough job, working for a boss who has won multiple FCS championships at the same school, as well as an FBS championship. Should be interesting to see who they bring in. Dr Z
Does his show cause apply to FCS?The job would be a drop in salary, but not as big a drop as Fickell's would be. Knowing nothing about nothing, I'll predict a guy on Ken+ State's staff.

ZippyRulz
Which also means rumors of an opening in Conference USA. Something I hope UA takes into consideration.UAB: Bill Clark stated this morning that he believes the administration is going to shut down their football program (h/t Joe Schad). “Unless something changes before the weekend ends, I think the odds are very high it ends this week.” Completely unacceptable UAB. Completely unacceptable.
ZippyRulz
UCF loses at home to Florida International. O'Leary is reportedly looking to step down as coach after this season and become full-time AD there. Knights have been speculated as a possible Big XII expansion candidate for exposure to FL recruiting.
