It was a long wait from that awful Friday night at The Q but the Zips are finally playing a basketball game tomorrow.

Let's hear the following:

My predictions:

1. MVP - Demetrius Treadwell - This is is likely the one we'll agree on the most. Equipped with better team chemistry and an effective point guard, Treadwell will benefit a great deal. Tree will have a monster senior season and will cement himself as one of the best Zips of all-time. Finishing his career Top 5 All-Time in both points and rebounds is completely realistic.

2. Biggest Surprise - Noah Robotham - I don't think this kid is getting enough hype. Yes, he's playing the most difficult position to play as a true freshman, but consider this - when was the last time a true freshman was a lock to start for Keith Dambrot? He's going to be something special and is my pick to be MAC Freshman of the Year.

3. Biggest Disappointment - Kwan Cheatham - I still like Kwan long-term as a player, but I think he's further along from being a major contributor than others do. He'll play a lot as long as Big Dog is out, but once he returns I can see Aaron Jackson pushing Kwan for the minutes backing up Tree.

4. Award Winners - Demetrius Treadwell (1st Team All-MAC), Noah Robotham (Freshman of the Year, 1st Team All-Freshmen)

5. Season Result - MAC Champions, defeating Toledo in a close game. However, I think the Zips still fall short of the elusive NCAA Tournament victory.

Biggest Surprise: I'm going with Robotham too just because I haven't seen him play. Of the list of current players I'll go with Pat.

Biggest Disappointment: BJ

Season Results: Zips with the rubber match against a really good Rocket team and finally get a NCAA win (It's bound to happen one year right???)

Biggest Disappointment: Robotham - He's already suffering from the 2014 curse being too hyped before he even plays a second of D-1 basketball (Big Dog). Sorry I forgot to bold his nickname. He could have an average season as far as UA freshmen go and still be a disappointment at this point.

Award Winners: Tree MAC POY

Season Results: Who knows. Depends how KD coaches the young guys up. Does he play his best 7 or 8 or stick with Pat and Nyles and live/die by the 11 man rotation?

Having seen Robotham play (sort of on the feed) I think he is the real deal.

When he and Tree get the timing down it's gonna be razzle dazzle time.

But there is no way I can keep typing Robotham all season, so he needs a nickname.
