zippyfan34
So we have 12 scholarship players this year including 3 seniors. These 3 recruits plus Ivey's "greyshirt" means we will not need anyone to transfer out to meet the scholarship limit.I just looked at the roster and we have no walk ons right now. Maybe Jonas will come back in the spring?
ZachTheZip
We do have walk-ons. If you go to the game on Friday, they'll be on the gameday roster.

Quickzips
I'm actually starting to wonder if Williams doesn't come in and play more of the 2 guard early on in his career. The more I read about him he seems to have more of a scorers mentality and I think he could fit really nicely as a scorer/secondary ball handler next to Noah. With Evans and Deji graduating at the end of the year there will be plenty of minutes open at 2 guard, but with Noah and Antino there won't be many PG minutes available. A lineup of Noah, Williams, McAdams/Kretzer/Gladden, Kwan and Forsythe could look really good out there.
Dave in Green
Josh has always been a combo guard who could run the point but also score in bunches. At 6-2 he's not especially tall for a shooting guard, but he's 3 inches taller than the Zips' current starting 2, 5-11 Nyles Evans. If Josh doesn't end up redshirting, it's likely that he and Jimond Ivey (6-4 combo guard) will be competing for the starting and backup 2 position next season. Blue & Gold
Joshua Williams leading STVM to #6 national ranking in USA Today boy's Top 25.Peter Agba leading Greensboro Day School to a 25-0 record and a #28 USA Today national ranking.http://usatodayhss.com/rankings/expert/boys/basketball/2014/5Peter Agba's Greensboro Day School just beat USA Today's #8 ranked Wesleyan Christian Academy - who is led by 6-10, 5-star junior Henry Giles who is being recruited by Duke. Duke's Coach K was at the game (check the photos accompanying the below linked article).Giles had 21 points while Agba had 18. http://www.news-record.com/sports/hsxtra/basketball/greensboro-day-trumps-wesleyan/article_449ec46a-a120-11e4-94ce-27dec82f7e0e.html?mode=storyBtw, Agba is now listed at 6-7. We may have really found one there; I think he's going to be a beast.*Edit: Here's an article by DigitalSports.com covering the Greensboro Day -vs- Wesleyan Christian game. DigitalSports.com has Wesleyan nationally ranked at #8 while ranking Peter Agba's Greensboro Day School nationally at #16 (and Josh Williams' STVM nationally ranked at #9).http://65051.digitalsports.com/2015/01/22/north-carolina-rivalry-match-between-greensboro-day-and-wesleyan/**Edit #2: Though Josh Williams is the team leader & a superb lead guard, STVM is really a complete team. There is a junior on the team - Henry Badley - of whom I'm sure the Zips' coaching staff is well aware and, I would assume, recruiting hard. He's a legit baller. If you're into recruiting, you'll want to keep an eye on him.

Dave in Green
When we first heard of Peter, it appeared he was a super rebounder without much of a shooting game. So far in his senior HS season he appears to be turning into a strong scorer as well. Makes the Zips recruiting brain trust look pretty astute. Balsy
I don't usually follow basketball recruiting...but these guys seem like pretty legit talent. This past year's class doesn't seem to bad either. I don't want to get ahead of myself here...but it seems like the Zips have a very bright future!
Blue & Gold
Here's video of the Peter Agba -vs- Henry Giles matchup. (Henry Giles being the 6-10, 5-star forward being recruited by Duke.) Peter Agba's Greensboro Day School won the matchup 56-48 (Peter had 18 points while Giles had 21).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNUiBOrtFFk
Blue & Gold
Here's a rough video of Peter Agba highlights. Filmed in Africa, no? Very interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v47591Bz5xoPeter seems like a real warrior! I see both he and Josh Williams contributing immediately next season with Emmanuel Olojapoke (did I spell that right?) taking advantage of a redshirt.
