Dr Z
Sad coincidence that I just wrote how underutilized he was last season, and how I would change that this year. Good luck to him. Listed 122nd at his position by CBS.
zippy5
Oh gosh our WR corps next year is going to be ugly
skip-zip
I hope this isn't any kind of indication about how our kids feel about our program, and its direction.I thought he was damn good, but fairly high draft pick would not be what I would expect. ZachTheZip
He redshirted and then had a medical redshirt, I think. That would make this upcoming season his sixth with the program. Maybe he's just ready to start a career.
ZippyRulz
I hope this isn't any kind of indication about how our kids feel about our program, and its direction.I don't think so. Apparently it was an agonizing decision considering that it took 2 months after the end of the season.
blueandgold
The sad part is he was the only WR I felt would actually make the catch if thrown his way.
K92
I have been skeptical if we would see Zach back as soon as I saw the pictures taken at the end of Summer Camp when he was with the group of Seniors.Although I was assured at different points that Zach would, indeed, be back for 2015, I harbored substantial doubt. I think CK may have nailed it with this post http://zipsnation.org/forums/topic/27414-zach-dorazio/?p=185448

Balsy
We've got a lot WR's on this roster, and with D'Orazio moving on...this is a chance for them to step up. I believe that they will.
Blue & Gold
Ouch.I thought he'd be a great #2 receiver if we ever had a great #1. We never had a great #1 threat with L.T. Smith. Good, but not great.I was excited to see what D'Orazio could do alongside Michael Means.
InTheZone
I think it's foolish not to come back and have a good chunk of a graduate degree plus your living expenses paid for, but that's just me. I don't see Zach catching on in the NFL, but I'll be rooting for him.
zippy5
Isn't he like 25? Probably just ready to be done with school
Lee Adams
Too bad for the program. He has been the only receiver who could get open and catch the ball consistently over the past couple of years. He was never 'targeted' enough in my estimation. Whether that was by design or because the QB's would not throw to him is open to conjecture. Having to rely on unproven WR's when there are no WR's who have actually proven consistently reliable targets is not good for whomever the QB might be this season. Gotta think if D'Orazio thought something special was going to happen in 2015 he might have stuck around.

Gotta think if D'Orazio thought something special was going to happen in 2015 he might have stuck around.Again, my greatest concern is if anyone is leaving at this point because they are just tired of the way things are going. I sure hope that's not the case. Concerning the low number of throws he gets.....there were a number of people, even those on the inside, that were pointing out that defenses just continually ramped up their efforts to eliminate him as a throwing option. Honestly, I never watched his situation closely enough to tell if this was the case or not.
zipsfan33
This makes me sad. He was my favorite player to watch the last 2 years.
