Z.I.P.
After switching the MAC participant in his tournament bracket nearly every week, from Buffalo to Bowling Green, back to Buffalo and then to Can't State the past two weeks, ESPN Chief Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has finally moved Akron into the Midwest Regional in Seattle as the #13 seed. BUT, would you believe who Joe has the Zips matched with? Aaaaaarrrrrgghhhhh! http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
skip-zip
And isn't it funny that it happens on Ground Hog Day ??????
Dave in Green
They just take the top team in the MAC whenever they update. Zips are now tied with Can't for best MAC record but have a higher RPI, so that's how we got to be MAC placeholder of the week. VCU would be a huge challenge, for sure. But they just suffered a huge loss:VCU loses a point guard, leader
UAZipster0305
The post-season is an opportunity for us to match up against quality teams that we would not normally get to face during the regular season. Given that we have played VCU home and away in this decade (and even once in the NCAAT), I would not want to play them again. I'd prefer a game against a PAC-10 or Big 12 team. I thought the Gonzaga game was great for us.

I'd rather have that kind of matchup, if I had a preference. But at this point, I'd take any first round win. And I'd have to think that the Mentor vs. Student matchup against Shaka would have to go in Keith's favor at some point.

That could be huge for recruiting, and Pitt is notorious for flaming out of the Tournament early.
zippy5
Pitt isn't making the tournament this year
johnnyzip84
Speaking of Pitt, they struggled with pesky Bryant tonight, finally securing a 72-67 win.
Dr Z
I wish the Zips could play Columbus State in the first or second round. #TeamOhioIf that can't happen, then I want VCU to play Columbus State to see what doofus tweets then. Sportsjunkie330
Let's worry about winning the MAC before we get our panties in a bunch about the NCAA tournament.

skip-zip
I know this means nothing....But in today's update, this guy now thinks that BOWLING GREEN would be the MAC representative?Really? The same BG that we've beaten twice?Yep...maybe he does hate us.
zipsrule
They are tied for the MAC lead (best record) and have the highest RPI.

For each league's autobid the lowest RPI is automatically listed unless there is compelling case to not do so.
BirdZip
I believe these are likelihood to make the championship game (especially since they add up to 200%). Chance to win it is next column over. Akron at 15.7%.Edit: You are correct. Thank you. I corrected above. -Dr Z
