Zipgrad01 Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Is saying that other posters perform oral sex on the coach just because they have a differing opinion really acceptable on this board? ok. I am sorry...bowling green jumped up 10 levels compared to our players. Men vs boys.. Quote
Zipgrad01 Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 This should like tee ball..we need a mercy rule!!! Quote
lance99 Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Didn't you read my post? I said clean house right now. We're terrible. We were outcoached in a game that we led 40-14 at the half last week too. I'm with you, the guy that only shows up when Akron is losing. I agree with you. Clean house and regroup because there's always next year. You do realize that if that happens, Amato s gone, right? You want to be a Cleveland Sports fans mindset, so be it. This town is better than that.Yes this loss sucks, but you play the hand dealt vs. folding altogether. 1 Quote

Lee Adams Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 Like I said, unlikely. ST coaches can't control bad snaps and kids making mistakes.Yes they can, PREPARATION/ Quote
RowdyZip Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 It's getting difficult to justify these games. We'll be 3-4 with 5 games to go. We'll need to go 4-1 to reasonably have a shot at a bowl. We're essentially eliminated from the MAC Championship. Quote

zippy_ua_00 Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 The turning point was the fumbled kickoff.I texted my buddy when that happened and told him the game was over right then Quote
zippy_ua_00 Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 You must be drunkUnfortunately I'm working so that wasnt possible Quote
Lee Adams Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 No one dad gum it can justify the losses this coaching staff has been responsible for in crucial games. Akron has become BGSU's whipping boy. Oh,thats not to mention OU. And,they can't beat a mediocre OU team at home.Don't blame this on the players as some here will try to do. Bowden has had long enough to get beyond these types of butt whoopings. Hell Amato isn't the biggest problem even thoguh the D is overrated. Penalties, empty plays etc are coaching at this point. A program doesn't get waxed like this without looking at preparation. Bowden will likely be back next year. But what happens then?OK so if the highly unlikely happens and it won't that they 'win out' so what? Quote
Lee Adams Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 The turning point was the fumbled kickoff.I texted my buddy when that happened and told him the game was over right thenWhat is 'the turning point' when the opponent puts up half a hundred plus on you...again? 1 Quote

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Ouch. That was a bad one. I was hoping for two good NE Ohio weekends in a row. That means Zips and Browns both win. It's astounding how rare those great weekends have been for so many years. Quote

zipsoutsider Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Based on the logic here, I guess we should also expect the following coaches to be fired:Frank Solich for letting OU for getting blown out. Jim Harbaugh for losing the game over a fumbled snap. Ole Miss for being upset by Memphis James Franklin for loosing to TempleI heard no praise for Jeff Bowden when we blocked punts, but you want to fire him when the return man has a brain frat and a not great snap and blown block allow our punt to be blocked. It isn't rocket science. BG had better players. There was no "outcoaching." Good luck finding someone who will recruit better than TB.I never counted BG as one of our 7 wins.I hope Tommy Woodson is OK. We are in trouble if he isn't. Quote

At the same time you say good luck finding someone that can recruit better than Bowden. By that analogy, I say bowden should be fired because he has been here for 4 years and he is still getting beat by teams with better players because he is a shitty recruiter. Please clarify. Quote

Valpo Zip Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Why is Bowden still on the sidelines?Because Saban, Meyer, and Harbaugh are not interested in the job. Who do you have in mind that will do a better job? Quote
pdt1420 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 "Out coached" is a crutch in the same vein as that running back doesn't hit the hole (what hole?) and that quarterback locks onto his receiver. All those things happen, but probably only 10% of the times they're mentioned. Quote
