TennZip
http://www.nscaa.com/web/Rankings/College_Rankings/NCAA_DI_MEN/web/Rankings/NCAA/DI_MEN.aspx Wanted to start a thread on the huge upcoming game Friday night. The soccer coaches rankings just came out so I figured that I would attach it here rather than starting a separate topic. Akron was #23 last week in the rankings and stayed at #23 this week. Russell Cicerone of Buffalo is going to be very motivated to show that his MAC honor last year (over Adam) was justified. Cicerone also played in the summer with Adam and Brad so he is going to be very motivated to show up his fellow Michigan Bucks. The zips are going to need a strong crowd on Friday night. Go, zips. fknbuflobo
I am so happy to discuss an opponent. This is actually a very big match for the Zips. One slip up in the MAC, and Akron may miss the tournament for the first time since Lolla. I would guess 2002.
Zip_ME87
Big game, Conference game, At Akron... I think somebody or a number of somebodies on our team is/are going to step up big. I think we will see the big time team effort and cohesion to which we have become so accustomed, especially on our pitch.. I sure hope the AK Rowdies/students show up in numbers. I think the U@B supporters will show up in decent numbers on a Friday night.

Should be a g turnout.
TennZip
really need the students to show up in large numbers Indians -red sox playoff game starts at 4;38 on Friday so it will be tough to get a lot of walk up sales. I love the Indians but I hate that their game might hurt attendance at an important zips soccer game

Was hoping they had the early game when I got the tickets but oh well

fknbuflobo
I expect, no, I demand a more focused and committed side vs. Buffalo. At this point, MAC contests are the most important on our schedule.

skip-zip
It was a lot of fun to watch us finish some scoring opportunities.
malonepioneer12
In my opinion, the last 20 minutes of the first half was our best of the year. Also the buildup and passing and eventual finish on the Sanda goal was the best of the year. Let's hope we can build on this.

I liked a lot of what I saw tonight. Rough start to each half, but the Zips found a way to get through it each time and take over the match for the most part, I like Pau Belana taking the corner kicks. Overall, a very nice performance by the Zips. I think they will continue to build on this and challenge each other. I'm confident the midfield play will continue to improve as the new and existing personnel continue to get accustomed to each other. GO ZIPS!!!

At this point, no one except Pau Belana should take CKs. I have been very critical of Belana, perhaps even harsh. But the boy done good tonight. He tackled, supported the ball, distributed; he did his job at a high level.
