Reslife4Life Posted January 30 Report Posted January 30 Just going off the rosters from last year to this year, it looks like the following have transferred: Malte Schmaus Connor Filsinger Aljaz Dodig Nathan Ferguson Caleb Borneo Abdi Bahur Jose Pedro I always liked borneo, I sat next to his mom at the SLU game and she said he was battling injuries late in the year. But I still think he didn't quite get the playing time he deserved all throughout the year (assuming he was healthy) Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted January 30 Author Report Posted January 30 (edited) Best wishes to all our players who transferred of chose not to return. Besides Nathan Ferguson transferring to Belmont which was posted in the 2026 recruits thread, as I recall … UNCG posted on Instagram welcoming Caleb Borneo. Abdi Bahur transferred to UMBC I think. TennZip Posted January 30 Report Posted January 30 I definitely agree with one of Jared's statements !!!! "It is an exciting time to be a Zip soccer fan." Quote
TennZip Posted January 30 Report Posted January 30 It is great to see Remi Agunbiade's name on the roster. Remi , who was drafted in the MLS draft, definitely will be a future MLS player. I know that Remi will continue to improve...and will help the Zips have a great fall campaign. When looking at the roster, I am particularly excited by the 5 names shown as forwards. Angel Lopez Martin Aiden Benitez Remi Agunbiade Ignacio Alem Farrell Ngongang Angel and Aiden both had outstanding freshman campaigns at their respective schools. Farrell really has great talent and could be poised for a big step up in year 2. Ignacio had some outstanding moments late in the year. I think that Londen Sears and Leo Morana saw time as forwards in High School. I am sure that our coaching staff will find the best position for them in the college environment. You can never have too many good forwards and I am excited to see this group score some goals in the sping and in the fall. 2 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted Tuesday at 08:47 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 08:47 PM How unfortunate the home game against Ohio state is the exact time as the Mac basketball semifinals. Very likely a third Akron-Kent game. Don’t we normally play a few more games in the spring? Quote

If my memory is correct, I think all college soccer teams are limited to playing games on 6 dates in the spring. Weather in NE Ohio is so unpredictable. Hopefully, the zips can add match in late Match. Quote
Zips1991 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Interesting note from coach Nanchoff earlier, but don't feel it needs a new thread. It appears 70% of soccer season ticket revenue will be used for their ACE Fund. That should help boost recruiting. Quote
