Westie Posted Sunday at 01:49 PM Report Posted Sunday at 01:49 PM So Rich Paul says LeBron outgrew Akron. You can certainly understand a global icon feeling that way. But similar to The Decision in 2010, these billionaires sure know how to screw up messaging. Just goes to show that brains and money are far from synonymous. Quote
kreed5120 Posted Sunday at 02:06 PM Report Posted Sunday at 02:06 PM You can't live that billionaire lifestyle in Akron like you can in LA or Miami. Memphis and Milwaukee are two of the NBA smaller markets. I've never been to either city, but I'd venture to guess they don't have the upscale dining or VIP experiences he's accustomed to in the larger cities. It seems weird the interviewer tried to make it a race issue. I feel this board spends too much time talking about LBJ. He's not the savior some think he is nor is he the villain. The most we can probably expect out of him is sending an occasional, low effort tweet. 2 Quote

kreed5120 Posted Monday at 04:48 PM Report Posted Monday at 04:48 PM It seems like he comes from a Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana background. Perhaps that opens up some high school recruiting connections that we might not of had with the previous staff. Quote

Not sure he offers anything in Kentucky/Illinois/Indiana we didn't already have, but it never hurts to be strong in Illinois/Kentucky/Indiana for basketball. Spending 6 seasons in Fargo/the Summit League could be also be very advantageous. Quote
