LZIp Posted October 3 Author Report Posted October 3 Today was disappointing, but some very interesting results around the MAC today. Either a bunch of flukes or really wide open. 1 Quote
ZippyRulz Posted Thursday at 04:33 PM Report Posted Thursday at 04:33 PM Toledo barely beat Sac State 20-17 last night. OU-UB-Toledo-WMU are in the drivers seats. Quote

I think we're seeing, a little bit, that the trip to Sacramento is kind of hard on college teams. We also see that with B1G games of teams going westbound (less so coming the other way because you're flying fairly long distances just for Pacific Coast conference games) 1 Quote
ZippyDoo Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM Report Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM This conference was so there for the taking.... Took think, Buffalo needed last second heroics to beat RMU UMASS trounced Sac State Sac State trounced Kent Ohio beat Kent by 3 Bowling Green beat Miami oh Miami Oh beat UMass by 1 Buff TROUNCED Toledo Ball State beat Bowling Green It's crazy....Zips should have been right in the thick of things... CMU dominated the second half and embarrassed the ZIPS; same with Miami-OH, should have won Kent, EMU, and Ohio... Oh what could have been... I hope the players can motivate themselves to play spoiler and play hard these last three games... they have to do it in spite of poor decisions which makes it extra hard but the way they played against EMU and Ohio (for the most part) they should be able to win.. 2 Quote
zipsfan33 Posted yesterday at 03:31 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:31 AM Listening to the pregame show on the way in on Tuesday, I heard Dr. John Steinbrecher on with Dave and Joe Dunn. He mentioned that the MAC and ESPN are about to sign a new agreement. He said he can't give any details but said that the Maction games are not coming to an end, but will be less prominent moving forward. He thinks the fans are going to really like the new configuration, whatever that may mean. Quote

Steinbrecher, as per usual, failed. 1 Quote

They will probably just move the games to Tuesday and Wednesday mornings starting at 5 AM in January and February and call it Breakfast With The MAC. 1 2 Quote
kreed5120 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I didn't hear his comments, but from the sounds of it I can see less of them being played. Instead of all MAC teams playing (for the most part) 4, they might be reduced to 2. That would still enable the MAC to have 3 MACtion games a week, but eliminates the ones that get relegated to ESPN+. Quote
