The Spring game is scheduled for April 15, which is only a week away. I keep checking the website for more details, but this is all I get:The Zips will hold its annual spring game on April 15 (Sunday) at 4 pm in the Athletics Field House. Prior to the game, the Zip baseball team will host Central Michigan at 1 pm. All the events of the day – presented by Sky Bank – will be released as details are solidified.I believe I have reached the breaking point with this Administration. This is only a Spring game and they cannot decide what to do? Solidify what? By the time they do that, who will care? The best way to attract people to an event is to advertise that event. These guys cannot even plan one!The only thing solid coming out of this administration is the crap they leave behind!http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_...0&ATCLID=849733

I'm sure FMR is looking for other ties for day, such as any baseball or softball games being played. Also, if Mack or JD will be making any comments. How about a drawing for 2 season tickets?Anything to promo the Hell outof the event and get more to campus.

well JD talks each year about things before the game. and they have had them types of promotions for the last 2 years such as raffles an stuff. i am not saying they will be for sure, but i would think they would do it. They gave away free cups, posters an stuff last year also.

For sh!ts and grins, I wanted to see what Waddell was doing for the UC spring game. Compare. Which is the better spring game format? Click for Zips EventsClick for University of Cincinnati EventsI like the UC stuff where fans get to call a few plays, get to announce some plays, etc. I don't think the Sunday :unsure: carnival thing at UA will draw flies.

I wonder what the budget difference is between the two events. Although it doesn't cost a cent to have a fan call a play.I would run the play where Jabari takes the end around, stops, throws back to Hakes on the other side of the field, then Hakes throws the 45 yard TD pass to Lindsay. One of my favorite plays I have seen. Should work good with this group.I also like the one where Jabari and Lindsay line up on the left, Jabari takes the end around,Lindsay runs all the way across the field and Jabari hits him in stride in the right corner of the end zone.:beam: okay, dream over, back to reality...

The forecast is 36 degrees for Sunday.... can't see the street carnival being much of a hit.
It makes you wonder. Everyone at the University has access to the same 5-day forecast we do. Beyond the weather factor, who's going to show up on a Sunday for something like that? If is was held on the street between the JAR and the practice facility immediately prior to the game, I could see it having a chance...but the day following?
