g-mann17
Despite the fact that the Beacon is finally writing news about the exciting win Saturday night (on Tuesday, only 3 days late and no the AP article tucked into the corner of Sunday's paper doesn't count) it's time to start thinking about the Owls. After the NIU win they are 1-5 (with close games against UConn (5 point loss); BGSU (13 point loss) and Navy (11 point loss). Should we be afraid? Not as much as when we take on Buffalo but this is an important game being a MAC East opponent none-the-less. What is everyone's take on this Temple team?Adam DiMichelle seems to be their Dan LeFevour or Julian Edleman.
ZippyRulz
We have to be on guard against a letdown after the dramatic win at WMU. Remember what happened after our emotional Wagon Wheel victory? Temple needs wins and I expect them to come after us. We can't be counting future wins to get bowl eligible, etc... we must take 1 game at a time. Having said that, I expect JD to have the crew ready and it will be tough for them to beat us in the House of Splinters. I think we will become more and more a team of big plays in the MAC. Go Zips, beat the Hooters !
johnnyzip84
I agree about guarding against a "letdown". This is always a threat when you are talking about college football. I think the Zips are the better team, but I think Temple has shown that they can play well on a given day, and they themselves will come in on a high note with the win over NIU. I think the Zips will win, but will not cover (spread was 10 points at the beginning of the week).
ZippyAlum
As far as I know we didn't have any injuries this weekend so I think we'll be in better shape this week. Nate should be back full go and Kevin Grant should be 100%. Hopefully Macky's replacement has gotten a feel for his position. I sure hope they work on our tackling technique so there are fewer missed tackles and that they also work on the handoffs. Everyone blamed Jacq for putting the ball on the ground but I'm not sure who was to blame. The ball must have been real slippery 'cause many of our players couldn't hang on to it. lovezips
I think that the zips will get it done this week. I think jacqueim will have a big day. Temples corners are fairly small!!!another huge day for Jab
ZachTheZip
This is the game for the offense to finally wake up. They've been tested by more than their fair share of good teams leading up to now. Here's hoping that one of our other WRs gets a chance to show us what he is made of.The defense needs to last just one more game before the bye week. I know they're tired, but the offense should make sure that they have plenty of rest this time.Put Temple away and then rest up for a much improved Buffalo team in two weeks. Lee Adams
 looking at the recent Temple score and what LITTLE the ZIPS D has done, its time for the D to WIN a game...don't think that the talent level of a former Big East school is that much lower if lower at all than the ZIPS...lets see the D give up 2 TD's or less and the O rush for 150...thats the formula the rest of the way... RowdyZip
Alright...I'm sure i'm not the only one that's been thinking about this. How will Game Two of the ALCS effect attendance in the Rubber Bowl Saturday...Kickoff is 6:00, first pitch is at 8:00. I know my crew will be in the lot with radios in tow. I fear a whole lot of Akron will stay home rather than catch the majority of the Zips homecoming...thoughts?
blueandgold
There will be plenty of people using that excuse for why they didn't come to the game. It's game two of the series and it's in Boston. It's not a make or break game and it's not in Clevelnad so no one should use that excuse. Our game will be done way before that game so there will be plenty of time to catch the late innings at home or at your local hangout. Go Zips, beat the Hooters !they are owls which means there nocturnal and the game is still a little before dark. So we should win this hands down. No you're right. Temple does need a win and they will be coming after us. I say we put CJ7 in to make them tired then hit them with CJ11. That's what we should do. I expect JD to look at the UCONN game and be prepared this time.
Captain Kangaroo
This game reminds me a lot of the Army game a couple years ago. If we are progressing like it appears we are, we win.Zips 38Temple 20If we come into the game all full of ourselves...like the teams did against Army in 2005, we'll lost 20-0.I like this team's character. 38-20.
