Tomorrow morning a story will be run in the beacon journal about how a the Zips blew a 10 point lead with 5 minutes left in the game. Our highest profile game of the year and the Zips choke to an extent beyond belief. One day the posters are saying that KD is the second coming of Christ, the team is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and the town and campus suck canal water for not filling the JAR.After one road loss it's now the team is made up of a bunch of chokers, only and idiot would show up at the JAR to watch a game, and KD should watch out for fans with a tar bucket and carrying a rail. After the chair beatings, drop-outs, gun charges and 20-loss seasons, I'll never forget Pluto writing his "Underdog" column. I'd take Crawford back...in the same University capacity as Gerry Faust. We would be benefitted if we had his expertise back to coach our big men -- as an assistant coach now. He has been a #1 assistant in the Atlantic Coast Conference. That ain't chicken fat folks. Quote
