Sorry for the blur, but you get the idea.post-379-1231878442_thumb.jpgAlso, kudos to the Athletic Department for proofreading....Directly from my letter, "...the dream of an on-campus football stadium is less nine months from becoming a reality." I think you're missing a word, guys. I know I'll be proofreading my 35-character message on the Founders Wall. It'll read "K-S-U-cks!"

Why does the east side upper deck not seem to extend the entire length of the field?
I'm sure it has something to do with the visiting locker rooms. Basically they built a building behind the eastern lower stands from the 40 to the back of the southern endzone to house locker rooms. They had to build support structures from basically field level for the remaining section of the upper deck.

Another view.
where did you find this? all the ones on gozips are tiny (totally weak on their part). But yeah, that pic shows whats going on there. They cant put up the bleachers over that part of the stands until they've built the remaining buildings for concessions, bathrooms, etc.

I keep telling you guys I have my sources! ;) This came from the same person who told me the tailgate area would be Buchtel Field.

I quick look at the webcams and I notice something rather interesting...From what I can tell (and it only seems logical), it appears the construction crews have begun to put up the support framework for the lights across the top of the pressbox.I also see that crews have begun to lay the floor/ceiling for the north endzone facility too...cool stuff!

There's a veritable convoy of trucks on the stadium floor today. Looks like they are delivering more of the precast concrete pieces.
veritable convoy? I'm disappointed! I wanted a veritable cornucopia of trucks. well atleast these guys can get on their CBs and bust a few police blockades.... CONVOOOYYYY!!!

Speaking of a convoy, I just happened to pull up the webcam right now and 8 vehicles (including 4 big white vans) just drove into the stadium, a whole bunch of people got out and started looking around. Is this possibly the Nicely visit or maybe him and/or a few other potential recruits?

We got bleachers!
wait, are you talking about that stuff laying down on the lower west bowl? I'm not sure those are seats.
Just what do you think they are? They already were installing the supports for seats and why would they lay anything else in that area?I'm betting those are the first of the lower level bleachers.

It just looks to me like they have layed beams down there. Some of them are too long and others are too short to actually seem as thought they belong down there.

You could be right. But, I saw a recruiting picture and they were at the stadium a couple of weeks ago on gozips.com.The supports the bleachers will sit on were already installed. I just can't see them laying beams or anything else down there given those supports had been installed. But, the bleachers themselves. I could see beams being put there if the supports for the bleachers hadn't been installed. But, I could be wrong. These maybe be bleachers. Or that could be beams. We'll see in the coming days.

Why put them in the lower section and risk damage to remove them?
Theyre not going to install the bleachers now. Maybe once the upper section is completed..As for laying the beams on them... I am not convinced the beams are laying on the actual bleacher supports. Remember, those L brackets are only about 6" long whereas each seating level is about 28" (front to back). If I was in the area, I'd go walk by and see for myself, but I am willing to bet the beams are only laying on the concrete floor and NOT those supports. Also, putting the beams there is somewhat advantageous not only because there isn't a lot of room on the stadium floor to store them, but also because it puts the beams in an easy and convenient place for the crane to pick them up.
