does anyone know what they are putting on either side of the ribbon board on the scoreboard? It looks kinda awkward with the support structure exposed like that.
I think the ribbon board extends the length of the stands...it's just not all operational yet.
no, the ribbon board on the east stands is complete... its the ribbon board on the scoreboard that im wondering about. if you look at cam #2, you'll see what i mean on either side of the ribbon board.ION, the videoscoreboard is showing "highlights" from last year's games... cant see anything else tho... haha

From Rasor's latest blog entry...
They will test the lights on Saturday.
Sorry I cant add any pics but Im just back from a visit to the INFO.............Some observations........ Scoreboard is being enclosed on sides, and banner onexchange side is now flat/rigid. Looks much better. Audio and video both playing. Those 5 speakers put out some serious sound!!Concrete walkways/sidewalk in front of stadium by ticket windows/team shop is partially in. Multiple armed guards are patrolling facility- tho several ways to get in were still open. Scaffolding is up behind East stands between the brick encased supports. Perhaps glass going in there?? Decorative ironwork is in between brick posts, though not all posts have had lights installed yet ( just exposed wiring). Team ( offense) was practicing last night on Schrank field. Some kind of party/gathering was being held on endzone plaza ( between the worlds most expensive stairwells). I wonder how many accidents have occured with gawkers watching stadium and not the car in front of them.

Don't know if it has been mentioned lately, and I'm too lazy to go searching through this insanely long thread, but I heard yesterday from a facilities person that the grass area is not going to be used this season for seating. Only if there is a sellout and they need the overflow room, they want to give it a chance to take root, which is understandable. That being said, I for one want to see students in that area, so I am inviting everyone I know out to games....just doing my part. :)

A couple of sellouts are very likely so I guess it will be used before the grass takes root...will the new sod hold up to the wear and tear? The original preferred plan was to plant grass but it wouldn't have been ready yet either. After going to the open house and seeing the angle of the slope, I don't think it's going to be comfortable to stand for very long like the Rowdies do for soccer...probably just for goal line stands and trying to jinx opponents field goal attempts.

I ordered 11 tickets on Friday, 8 of them for the Can't game. I anticpate at least that many more during the season....every little bit helps. Anybody know how the early ticket sales to Season Ticket holders went last week?
