Dambrot Mentioned in SI Article on LeBron

LINK

A few excerpts:

He trained with his first coach at St. Vincent--St. Mary High, Keith Dambrot, who had barely worked with him since he was a rookie. "A lot of people are intimidated by LeBron, but he wants the truth," says Dambrot, now the coach at Akron. "He's not too big to take criticism. I told him, 'You have to do more things you don't want to do. You have to do more offensive and defensive rebounding, moving without the ball, all the basics that made you great going back to the beginning.'"

-----------------------------------------------------------

When the Heat has won 101--98, James finds Jay-Z's nephew in the courtside seats and slips his headband around the boy's neck. He removes his Nikes and hands those over as well. He tells the Heat's TV announcers he never thought he would hear MVP chants in an opposing arena again. Still, he will receive a text from Dambrot saying he needs to grab more rebounds.

Harney Still Growing?

Someone who recently saw Tree and Harney together told me it looked like Harney is now taller than Tree. Out of HS Harney was listed at 6-6 and Tree at 6-7. On the Zips roster, both are listed at 6-7. If Harney is now up to 6-8 or more, he would be even more of a problem for Zips opponents to defend. Has anyone here seen Harney recently? Does it look like he's still growing?

Basketball Gameday Survey

Recieved a request to take a survey. It asks how often you attended this season (type of package or tickets you bought), how you like to buy tickets, how you found about the tickets, and then some questions about your experience.

Experience questions are regarding if there are enough concession choices, merchandise choices, that the cost is fair for both.

Then it asks what are the biggest impacts to your game day experience (issues you have).

And finally, if there was a rennovation to the JAR or a new arena is built what would you like to see to improve the game day experience.

New Parolee for Can't State

"Senderoff will also hope that Tabb can be the next in a long line of successful second chances Can't State has offered to athletes with troubled pasts.Tabb left Wake Forest in September of 2011 after he pled guilty to charges that he stole an iPod from a classmate’s dorm room and later tried to pawn it. In a telephone interview on Thursday, he did not shy away from talking about the poor judgment that led to those legal problems.

“It was a lesson learned,” said Tabb, who was 19 years old when charges of breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods led to his dismissal at Wake Forest. “I made a mistake, I accepted responsibility and I learned from it. I suffered the consequences.”

Tabb was reportedly ordered to enter a deferred-prosecution program that included 12 months of supervised probation and 50 hours of community services. Once those were completed, prosecutors agreed to dismiss all charges against him."
