+1. Robotham continues to amaze. And who the hell is that #4 guy running around? In the past, I never thought he deserved any minutes. Now, I cringe when we take him out. Dude has all summer to rest, play him.

Agree, Excellent post CK. I had to listen to this one before I got to watch it. The radio broadcast was like a million times better than listening to the two dudes on ESPN pulling for South Carolina to find a way to win. Four games in and what a difference it makes when you have a point guard. Already he is making everyone of his teammates a better player. Hats off to those who travelled. I felt bad when Tree was suspended....Seems like it all worked out OK.

After watching last night, Buffalo may be just what the doctor ordered! They are awful. That said, my expectations after the 4-2 start and looking forward to being favored in just about every game, I was looking at a special 9 win season. Now, it looks like my preseason pick of 6-6 may be attainable. However, after three weeks of losing, injuries, inept offense and even general infighting amongst the diehards, time to shift directions and start looking forward to Zips hoops. As I have done for years, looking forward to my usual spot at the JAR where I get to watch the best player and team in the MAC and get to listen to the best broadcast/team in the conference. Beat Buffalo!

Well, if the host cannot get us simple information about the status of the QB of a D1 program, the show isn't worthy of my time. I will pass.

One final Ball State game comment. BSU blows. This includes the president on down to the parking attendants. Trying to park at the game was nearly impossible. First the cops lied as to when we all could get in and then the attendants lied and were pricks as to where we could park.. Not to mention we had to wait until 11 am to get in. They made us drive out and around since we were early and once in the lot, they parked us 300 yards from the stadium. By the time we set-up to grill, it was 11:40. Hats off to UA for letting those who come early to park where they want. Next time BSU comes to UA, I would park those a-holes at the Rubber Bowl and make them walk.

I was about to post the same thing. After 30 years of nothing, we are 4-2, going to be favored in 5 of our last 6 and we shit the bed twice. Had a chance for 9 or 10 wins and a bowl- now look for 6-6.... It does't matter if we have Faust or Owens or Brookhart or Bowden...That elusive 9 or 10 win season may never be had..And this is with a pretty darn good defense and a schedule set-up for winning....NOW. If someone where to post a poll on this board asking what the football program should look like in 10 years- and one option is to shut her down. That is what I would vote for after what has transpired over the last two weeks. Just plain tired of the losing.

A-PB could be a bit dicey. I am waiting to read all the experts(on this board) opinions from watching practice before I make my prediction.

1. The jinx lives on.... 2. Why the hell didn't Pohl play? He was CLEARED to play on Saturday. He should have been in the game at the start of the second quarter. Practice or no practice, he gave us the best chance to win. 3. Gotta disagree with GP1 and running the ball. Early in the game with bad field position, we needed to attempt to get in short 3rd down situations by running on first and second down. Trying to convert 3rd and five would have been a hell of a lot easier than the 3rd and longs Woodson was in. Then when the field position turned around later in game and we had second or third and short yardage situations, we needed to run again...Even if it meant running Grice over and over. 4. As mentioned by all, to have Woodson throw this much was Ianello like. Stupid. That said, he threw three pick 6's that were dropped by OU and LT Smith had his defender burnt on three deep balls and all were overthrown. Not good quarterbacking. 5. Where the hell was the D-line Saturday? Giving up 17 on draw plays was inexcusable. 6. OU blows and we lost. Their fans are worse. Half the stadium emptied out at half with a tie game. 7. Hold off on making those bowl plans. At 5-2 heading down the stretch would have been a hell of a lot easier than where we are now.

I take it that the defense is going to score/be responsible for 21 points? Good Luck with that!

Tell Pud Dunn to stop announcing game times and dates and find out the flippin status of Pohl.

Because these games are on ESPN, not ESPN3, these conferences earn real money- pay the MAC millions per games, not a couple thousand, make sure the broadcast isn't a 3 hour advertisement for the weekend games, make sure the announcers have a clue about the teams playing and limit it to one game per team on an oddball day and I am in. Otherwise, tell ESPN to go screw themselves and have the Zips play on Saturday afternoon.

Gotta disagree with GP1 on this one. While Pohl may be the best we have, he has not shown he is a D1 QB. His play to date is under par. Sorry. Yes, he had several drops vs. PSU, but he also missed many receivers in the second half. I have zero confidence in the guy. I hope he proves me wrong.

But tosu will not schedule teams like Oregon when they are good bec. they may lose. They will cherry pick easy wins. A below avg. Va. tech team will be as hard as it gets....

I find it amazing that this thread is on page 28. Anyone who thought the hoops arena proposal would pass in the first place must be hanging out with Abreu. The fact that it was removed from the ballot at least saves the embarrassment of reading in the paper that it was defeated by a 90-10 margin. Find a dozen donors with deep pockets to get this thing approved and built.

Do you really think the big 5 will come to an agreement and only schedule themselves? I find this hard to believe within the next five years. And if they do, I predict it will last for about 5 years.... At some point 25 of the 65 teams will get tired of having a losing record every year and then will be begging to join a conference similar to the MAC. The money will be nice for a while, but then when Purdue consistently draws 22,000 fans a game going 2-10 every year, things will change.

Hopefully it was moved to the open Saturday in September......
