  1. Home and away. They come here next year.
  2. You don't need to be a moderator to start a thread.
  3. I suspect not from his persistent whining.
  4. It will be interesting to see how the Zips handle the Tulane match up zone. The Zips often seem to have trouble in initially adjusting to a zone. The Tulane zone is different than what they've faced. I hope they can adjust quickly to it rather than get off to a slow start.
  5. Groce also mentioned that Bucknell was down 2 starters, had 4 guys out and played zone much more than usual. Here's hoping facing the zone helped them work out the kinks to face Tulane who exclusively plays zone.
  6. The Zips head to New Orleans Saturday to face the 6-2 Tulane Green Wave. The Green Wave was chosen to finish 3rd in the AAC preseason poll. Redshirt junior guard Rowan Brumbaugh was chosen as the AAC preseason player of the year. Asher Woods, a senior guard was named to the second team. Brumbaugh leads Tulane at 19.1 ppg and averages 4.5 rpg. Curtis Williams, a 6’6” junior guard and Georgetown transfer is second in scoring at 15 ppg while leading the team in rebounding at 5.8 rpg. Woods averages 11 ppg. On defense the Green Wave plays zone 40 minutes a game. They average 76 points per game.
  7. Groce was not happy with the defense in the post-game. He said if they're going to be great, as opposed to just good, they have to get better on defense.
  8. Woke up to finish the half.
  9. Looks like Bijiek, their second leading scorer is out. The 6'11" German freshman center is mobile and a good ball handler. He won't be at Bucknell long.
  10. Bring on Hiram!
  11. PCCC also now has Gillespie's cousin, 6'7", 290 pound, Rob Whaley, who's contributing down low.
  12. We'll never know but it remains a bad look that the Zips were the only one. It was also time to stand up when it came down rather than essentially concede and push it back a year.
  13. They didn't qualify for a bowl because we were the only team in the country sanctioned due to a low multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) score.
  14. Nate had to transfer to K State to lose to BG! I don't believe he ever lost to them as a Zip.
  15. I had to scroll to the top of the thread to make sure I had hadn't inadvertently fallen into the football forum. LOL.
  16. Naaaaaaah, he has plenty of guards.
  17. Mr. Pinky is always at least a year behind Groce....NIL funding....up tempo offense.....
  18. We didn't even get 20 minutes! 16 total minutes for the season he was here!
  19. Buffalo is an interesting study. They've held onto some of their better players while supplementing with transfer talent. Their top scorer, Daniel Freitag is a Wisconsin transfer and is averaging 20 a game. I'm curious to see if they hold up as the season progresses. Their schedule hasn't been very difficult but it's much better than Miami's (whose isn't?). They squeaked by Bucknell 73-71.
  20. Bucknell got peeled by Cornell today in a battle of the nells, 101-72.
  21. She doesn't strike me as that kind of person.
  22. I'm sensing an ugly day ahead for the women's team. I spoke briefly with Melissa at the men's YSU scrimmage and she seemed very happy.
  23. I'm impressed that they're using correct pronouns.
  24. Bucknell has certainly not followed the Miami scheduling plan as they have had decent opponents. They look to have two skilled bigs which gives the Zips another chance to continue to work in Barre.
  25. The 2-6 Bucknell Bison come to Akron Wednesday night to face our 6-2 Zips. The Bison have wins over Delaware and Mount St. Mary's and losses to Princeton, Hofstra, Pittsburgh, St. John's, Bowling Green and Buffalo. 6'11" German freshman forward/center Amon Dories leads Bison scoring at 14.8 ppg while contributing 4.2 rpg. 6'9" senior forward Ruot Bijiek is second in scoring at 12.5 ppg while leading rebounding at 4.8 rpg. The Bison play Cornell today.
