I'd be curious to see how Eddie George relates to the kids and gets the credibility. I suspect the awards and rings are the key as they'd have no idea who he was coming through the door as he played before most of them were born. As for donors and NIL, I suspect JoMo is not the guy to work a room to whip up support from wealthy donors. I've overused the comparison but we have a basketball coach who is that guy.

...and we all know the most important rotation is the one in at the end of the game, not the starters. -

49 days until Zips basketball. -
In the words of the great philosopher Bernard P. Fife- NIP IT IN THE BUD. 😁

He obviously doesn't. To conclude this conversation on the level to which it has sunk- I am rubber, you are glue...

.....and now you've again proven my point. If your reading comprehension was a little better you'd understand that I agree with many of your points. Return to the childish name calling.

The Zips are in the FBS. "When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser." -- Socrates. Translation - when you start the name calling, your credibility immediately goes in the toilet.

Consistent? Yes. Great? One MAC championship in 50 years. Solid yes. Great? Nope.

Happy Birthday Coach Groce. -
I did some editing for you.

I had no expectations of this game. Only hope. Hope that they would show some improvement and not be embarrassed. Those hopes were dashed on the first drive. The Zips moved to midfield in large part on a 19 yard quick hitter (their longest play of the year to that point- UGH). On third down, players are running all over, everyone looks lost and yet another early timeout is called amidst the confusion and chaos. They then come out of the chaos with Johnson at QB, clearly screaming out to everyone between Akron and Lincoln that a QB run is forthcoming. Predictably, the QB run was unsuccessful and in comes the punt team. Hopes dashed early. At least I wasn't teased.

How we were not able to take advantage of that talent and awareness? -
I thought Brophy played for Buchtel. Maybe he was from Kenmore.
