  1. I'm excited about finally being able to be excited about Akron Baseball!

  2. Reading his post makes me proud that a student/athlete of his character is representing my University, appreciates being here, and understands the great opportunity that he's been given. Our competitors can ignorantly continue to tolerate their "Ain't Come To Play School" tweets. I'll take Noah any day.

  3. Desperate times call for desperate measures. We have lost 3 in a row, going to Buffalo where we rarely win, just lost our starting point guard to injury, might have lost our other starting guard for other issues, and Kd has never lost 4 in a row. Last game KD was looking for more production in the starting lineup and started the twin towers. We scored 4 points in 5 minutes. When he went back to the twin towers late in the first half we were outscored by 9 in two minutes. It is time to put your second leading scorer, one of your highest percentage shooters, and the guy who gets to the foul line more than anyone except Pat into the starting lineup. KD likes to bring a spark off the bench. Last year it was Q and this year it is Deji. But Antino was 2 of 10 last game and 0 for 5 from the 3 line. This team needs more scoring in the starting lineup without Robotham. Last year KD finally inserted Q in the starting lineup and it immediately improved the team. Deji is a senior and having a great season. Give him the start.

  4. ZIPSMOM2, I hope you saw that The Hip Zip's comment was tongue in cheek. He was just kidding. I know he understands that parents are fans just like the rest of us except they happen to be a lot closer to one player. Fans can get pretty emotional about sports, as can be seen on this forum every time the Zips lose, so how could we expect parents not to? The attitude you expressed about learning from criticism is really positive. But the parents who may occasionally get a little emotional about the game are just being human. It usually passes quickly, as I understand it already has in this case. Meeting the parents of the Zips players has been as enjoyable for me as meeting the players. You're all wonderful people.

  6. Z-man down with a torn ACL! Not good for a Timbers side already limping along. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2015/02/23/portland-timbers-confirm-ben-zemanski-acl-injury-ponder-potential-replacemen

  7. I chased down some info on the Evans and Robotham situations. Robotham's bickering with the trainer had to do with the trainer telling him he shouldn't go back into the game after he was hurt. Noah may have taken it a little too far, but that's a result of his competitiveness. Looks like the trainer was correct at this point. Evans spent the entire second half watching from the hall in street clothes. Apparently, something happened in the locker room at halftime. As the team went into the locker room after the Toledo game, his mother was screaming at KD from the stands about how her son was used. Maybe the situation boiled over.

  8. Maybe he's too busy sulking over the Suckeye's demolition at the hands of the Wolverines today. Seriously though, 24 hours later, and we're only getting a small bit of this information about the aftermath of last night's game, and it's via one of the player's own Twitter accounts? And we got that bit of information about 12 hrs. ago? Nothing from any news outlet since?

  9. Joe Dunn had Noah on his daytime show a couple of months ago and I could not have been more impressed. Very composed, well spoken and a kid concerned with his education. UA is lucky to have him.
