  1. It's a week old, but here is a good article on Evan Bush.

  2. I can't make the game tonight, so for those who do go, please give us lots of details. Who's the starting lineup? Does Josh Williams start? Do any of the other three freshmen play? It's obviously going to be a bit skewed against Malone, but do any of the players look like they've made Pat-like, or Cheathum-like jumps as those two did last year? How's Big Dog's weight look? I'd also love a report on Jimmond Ivey. Do any of the players seem to have a natural chemistry on the floor? Malone's going to be going all-out & playing to win. Does Dambrot even care? Probably not. Probably just going to work on finding rotations & experimenting with some things on offense & playing the young guys. But we still want to give a good showing.

  3. We still have 3 to play before the NCAA Tourney. I hope the players aren't lamenting UCLA. There's nothing to be gained in that.

  4. So you are going to ask a kid who doesn't really know a route or run it very well to run it? That is simply ludicrous. It has also been pointed out that he is still learning to block. Don't you think the coaches want to get the most value from him that they can? If he was ready to do more, we would see more of him. One of the best things that could happen to the program is if Jerome became one of the elite players in the conference and gained some more national attention. Honestly, this type of second guessing is just ignorant. People fail to realize that there is a lot more that happens behind the scenes than we will ever know.

  5. Oddsshark predicts Akron 28 Umass 25. Whipple Loves the Akron Defense. After eight games, they're the only unit in the MAC that has allowed fewer than 100 rushing yards per game. They're 97.6-yard average ranks eighth nationally behind power programs like Alabama, LSU and Michigan. Whipple praised defensive coordinator Chuck Amato and his penchant for using multiple, varied looks in the front seven. "They play three different fronts, so they force you to have some issues schematically in blocking schemes and pass protection. They'll mix it up, Chuck always has," he said. 'They can rush the passer with four down or rush with three and the blitz game in the weak, strong or overloads.

  6. During last night's broadcast, did anyone catch what Dino Babers calls tempo? The 12th man. I totally agree and I don't know why every head coach in FBS hasn't seen the light. Can you imagine if Alabama jettisoned Lane Kiffin and installed Dino as the OC? With the way they recruit they would score 100 points a game.

  7. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I am not debating you Balsy or SeeTee although you guys keep trying to bring politics and other things into my comment. Your quote above actually supports what I am saying and that is to not believe everything you read in the media......do research before forming an opinion - PERIOD. You specifically say the ABJ originally reported the $60M shortfall incorrectly. Regardless of whether they got the incorrect information from UA, it was published all the same and people formed opinions based on what they read. You guys then immediately jump to the conclusion that Scarborough intentionally misled the ABJ. I cannot confirm or deny that is true.......I am more inclined to believe the people at the ABJ are too stupid to understand the information given to them. After all, wasn't it the PD that clarified the numbers in the end? If you can't understand my bringing up the Republican debate as and "example" of media bias, there is not point in continuing this with you. Seriously wasting time asking presidential candidates about their fantasy football teams? You don't see it? Oh, SeeTee - I will answer a few of your questions. YES, I do believe negative media would affect donations. It is kinda the same as losing season resulting in 3,500 coming to a football game. People generally will not jump on or invest in a ship they view to be sinking. Do I believe Scarborough is responsible for information going out to the public - SURE but if those reporting can't understand what is being given to them and publish whatever they want....you fight the fights that are worth fighting. Am I happy people got fired - NO but if it enables more modern/efficient initiatives towards online courses - I think that is a smart move. Do I like that the baseball program was eliminated - NO but if it frees up money for sports programs that have more of a chance of elevating UA nationally, it makes sense. Am I your crazy homeless preacher? Since I know the response I want to give will be edited....I will simply say no you idiot. As LAZipfan pointed out.......you all seem to cherish negativity and controversy. Right here on this very thread you are taking a very simple comment I made....you start reading between the lines and completely twist it into a debate over something I did not even bring up. ZNO has become downright depressing. FIRE EVERYONE!! Fire the soccer coach because he lost a game early. Fire TB (which means we lose Amato too!) Fire the president! Fire Marketing....Fire the AD. Thank god you guys are not the ones making decisions. Just reading what you guys seem to thrive on I guess I can't blame the ABJ or the devilsite for giving you guys what you want.

  8. Hopefully, beyond the fact that this problem happens everywhere, people realize that it happened in Akron 6 years, and two coaching staffs ago. My son is entering 9th grade. Very nice school system...one of the top 5 public schools in Ohio. He had a meeting for Freshman baseball last Sunday where the guest speaker was a kid from the class of 96. Starting QB. Played college baseball at Walsh. And he spoke about his severe addiction issues over the past 18 years and the havoc it's wreaked on his family and life. I wish the lessons of what happened to Campbell and Jacquemaine weren't tied to UA, but what can you do? Hopefully by their parents tirelessly spreading the word over the past 6 years they've prevented some kids from following the same path.
