  1. They really should schedule it for a Tuesday to get the team ready for the regular season.

  2. Love that tune? had to close my door to dance around a little bit. Yes, my baby is number 59 and he is enjoying this experience. He didn't play very much last year; but he loves the game and his teammates and by default SO DO I.

  5. I would only say - the person that created the roster list may be the same person who thinks Jerome Lane Jr. went to Pitt. FWIW - I spoke to a coach a couple weeks ago and asked him about Bell's status. He said he was "still a Zip."

  9. If we want to win more than Kent, we'll win. Kent's offense can't keep up with the Zips when we play to our capabilities. If we play uninspired and lazy, we'll lose. If we're down at the end, we'll probably lose. We haven't shown the poise to pull out a comeback win in a tight game (we won in spite of ourselves vs Ball State). We need a lead going into the final 2 minutes. If we're down, we're in trouble. I like our chances tonight. I think we hit rock-bottom against Miami, and sometimes you need that "that's all I can stands, I can't stands no more" wake-up call before you can turn things around. Zips 72 Kent 64

  11. I wouldn't categorize the entire University off of 1 person who runs a twitter handle.

  12. My beef with this bulletpoint is that one MAC game will be on broadcast television that Tuesday. The other 2 or 3 MAC games that Tuesday will be on ESPN3. The only people who will watch the ESPN3 games are the people who would have watched in person if the game was on a Saturday. That is the kicker that burns my crack.

  13. If there's anything that screams big time it is a Tuesday night game on ESPN3. That's when you know you've finally scaled the mountain.

  14. Something I didn't realize. It was of course Senior Night for six MAC schools and every one of them lost. The road team won all six games yesterday. And really as far as an NCAA tournament run goes it really depends on a few things. A little bit is the seed but more importantly is the matchup and how well you play that particular day. If you're not part of a major basketball conference it's a tough road. Some schools turn it into something (like Gonzaga and VCU), but more often than not its just a fun experience for a bit. Is George Mason dominating the A-10? (they are 8-8). Have Kent and Ohio turned into the dominant programs in the MAC after their run? Oh wait no that's us. I'd love to see an NCAA tournament run as much as anyone but in the long run its probably not going to mean that much. I just hate seeing it put out there as the Holy Grail that a coach must achieve to be considered a success. 10 straight years of making at least the MACC semifinals and 7 in a row in the final? How many other "smaller conference" schools can make that claim? So if we happen to pull off an upset (and it will always be an upset) in the NCAA tournament suddenly Dambrot will be a great coach? I think he's a great coach now.
