Hello to everyone. My name is Tiffany. I am Fred's daughter. There aren't words to describe how much your kind words about dad have lifted me up. He was extremely passionate about the Zips. I mean, I pretty much grew up in the JAR. If any of you have a favorite photo or anything you would like to share, please do. Even maybe loaning memorabilia... I am trying to put together some photo boards and items to display at the viewing. I will hopefully have a date and time set for services today. I will post them on here. Also, the obit will be in the Beacon Journal. Please feel free to contact me here. Thank you again for all the kind words and well wishes. My dad has been so blessed to have a great group of people to call his friends.

I thought think Zips/Flashes is definitely the best Tuesday Night football rivalry in the country, regardless of division. Word is they will be giving out t-shirts commemorating this distinction to the first 100 fans through the gate, which will be about half the crowd.

Long time Zips fan and ZN.o member Go Zips peacefully passed away tonight as his beloved Zips dispatched hated KSU. Fred was a longtime volunteer assistant with the basketball program dating back to the Bob Huggins era. If anyone ever bled blue and gold it was Fred. He was very opinionated but he truly loved every kid that passed through the program. Fred had a stroke late last year and was sorely missed by the staff and team. He did make it to one final game on February 14th, a win against Toledo. RIP Go Zips!

Check out MAC player, Antonio Brown's 40 times. Recently the highest paid receiver in the NFL was asked why he is so successful coming out of the MAC..."I work harder than anybody else." Jerome has the talent, if he works as hard as AB, I have no doubt he can have an NFL career. There is a great interview with Richard Sherman I saw this year, I can't seem to locate it right now, he was asked who the toughest receiver to cover was, his answer was AB, he went on to explain why and mentioned it had nothing to do with his speed because he didn't think he was that fast. Does it help to be the fastest guy on the field? Sure. Do you need to be? No. Underwear olympics will continue to create this argument.

Loved the game of course but also loved the comments about this being the best mid-major rivalry in the country. ESPN color guy must have said it three or four times. Not sure if that's true but I like the fact that someone on ESPN sees this rivalry's value. National exposure is national exposure. The wife and I were discussing the key components of rivalries, and UA Can't certainly measures up: close W-L record, geographically close schools, consistent contenders in the same league etc. On to Cleveland.

Just staggered in back home after a great night. Thought it was one of the most physical MAC games I have seen in a long time and the Zips really toughed it out. The refs were pretty good. They couldn't call everything in a game like this or there would have been nobody left to play the last 5 minutes. Other observations... Big Dog got absolutely mauled all night long. Ivey, in particular, was terrific. His finest night as a Zip. Outstanding, spirited crowd and the Zip fans held their own. Utomi and Poke will do nothing but get better. The future is looking good. Thirsty Dog Old Leghumper can sneak up on a guy fast.
