You know, I am gonna blow this thread up. Real Zips fans can't go to practice and observe and report but George Thomas can. The name Darryl Monroe doesn't even ring a bell. #amateurhour

JN...undecided. Incredible player and athlete but his size will probably be too much to overcome. If I had to pick I would say yes.SP....no. Underwhelmed his whole career to me, although he was apparently playing injured this season. I'll throw in DeAndre Scott as a guy I think could be picked late/UDFA. He seemed incredibly sound his whole career. I don't know anything about his athleticism though so maybe that could be a knock from teams. Not sold as much on Hope and/or Jones, but we've had equal or lesser guys get shots (Bryce Cheek with the Chiefs). So my picks for guys who get a shot..Marcus, Lane, Scott, and maybe Natson. Not knowing #'s makes it difficult. John Ross broke the record with his 40 and is now guaranteed to go in the first round. Dri Archer got himself clear up to the 3rd round because of his 40 and then his career flamed out a few years in. If I had to guess Jojo lit it up.

No idea who would be the guy, but McFadden is the top assistant and has been recruiting coordinator for 9 years. Those close to the program will tell you KD has groomed him to be a HC. Larry Williams, of course, could see it differently. I use scrambling more because there are obviously some unhappy players, and you'd think others could leave if both the head coach and assistant coach/recruiting coordinator left. I will say some of the names - Jimmal Ball (no coaching experience), Dru Joyce (average game coach), Steve McNees (nowhere near ready) won't be happening. It'd have to be McFadden or someone brand new to Akron. Just my two cents.

After I thought about this discussion, I think I erred in my earlier comment. Graves committed to Buffalo early in the basketball season. I think well before Josh Williams would have thought about transferring. I still do think though, because of Jayvon's closeness with Jon, he was aware all was not roses with Josh.. I could be wrong too. BTW, FWIW - I just got back from Columbus where SVSM won their 7th SC, 45-30, over Wauseon. Jayvon carried the team, more than I would have liked, with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 7 steals, 1 assist. He shot 10-18, rest of the team was 9-29. Wauseon was worse. I think the bright lights, arena, big game had an effect on all but one. If anyone is interested, @STVMATHLETICS has lots of video from the game.

Everything I've heard about Josh is that he's a great person off the court. That, to me, means this is automatically a big loss. However, with this news, I can't help but think that his body language all season foreshadowed these events. He may be a half step too slow for this level, but he also seemed like he didn't necessarily want to be here. Just an observation. Wishing Josh nothing but the best.

You are spot on about Jayvon's style of play, but that isn't Dambrot's offense. Buffalo's offense is a perfect fit for Graves. I follow SVSM and have watched him for four years. Jayvon is a heads up player, he plays within himself, and keeps his cool on the court.

Hilltopper, I hope your emoticon signifies "There's no way in hell Josh's transfer could possibly effect our incredibly strong relationship w/ STVM." Because it could be interpreted as, "Forget about it, the relationship already sucks & you just have no idea." Which are you going for there? I ask because STVM is not the pipeline I wish it were & it's had me scratching my head for a while.
