If I remember correctly, Noah was considering transferring after his freshman year before his knee injury. I will miss his character on and off the court as he represented the UA well, but he's not a good fit for Groce's system. Tino needs to stay now. He can thrive in Groce's system, too. You're not going to be seeing Big Dog's anymore for a while. Groce will bring in high motor, athletic players committed to running and playing in-your-face defense.

I want Robotham to stay. He's an outstanding kid, and outstanding representative of UA. Beyond that, he's a senior 4-year starter with upside. I still don't think we've seen Noah's best basketball. I think a guy like Groce will be a breath of fresh air for Noah and rejuvenate him.

I thought 'Tino turned into the much better player but KD was infatuated w/ Noah. During Noah's freshman season I was too. I'd never seen a true freshman PG come in and have such command of the game. Unfortunately, I don't think Noah was ever half the player he was as a freshman after suffering that knee injury. If given the choice between the two I'd pick 'Tino. Especially if Coach Groce wants to pressure & run. Not a style seemingly fit for Noah's game, but perfect for 'Tino.

Antino and Noah were not a good fit paired as starters. Neither one was willing to be 6th man.

Now Coach Groce can tell Antino he'd have the keys to the team. No more being underutilized while playing 2nd fiddle to Noah.

Probably when he found out he would be a grad transfer...

That makes sense. My concern when I see stuff like that is that people reading it will base their opinion on innuendo rather than fact, but I get where you're coming from here.

Because you just can't come on here and post a bunch of hearsay. If I heard some things unbecoming to KD from a source who certainly had the access to know and that I trust not to be spreading lies, I would believe them and I might drop a hint or two but I wouldn't come on here and spill the beans about it. That is a sure fire way for that person in the know never to tell you any juicy little tidbits ever again. But that's just me.

An update on our players in limbo: Antino - seemed likely to go a few weeks ago, but now I'd bet on him staying Dunn-Martin - Gone Hughes - Likely gone Dalton - Staying Robotham - Toughest one to figure out...depends on who you talk to There's 1 or 2 others that have given thought to leaving, but I think the list above is probably it.

Akron won the MAC Tournament 3 times, with only 1 of those 3 wins coming as the 1 seed. So what did our "high level" of winning more games get us? 1 MAC tourney title?
