  1. I don't want to sound like a bad person but, I didn't learn anything from this. Is he healthy? Is he ready to go? What is the prognosis? Come on, I need more than this!

  4. Why would ohio.com post a video that makes you dumber for watching. I would have learned just as much from a still photo of Tommy outside the stadium. My God.

  6. Upon one viewing, I am impressed with freshman forward David Egbo. He is stout and strong. Egbo receives the ball with either foot and will shoot powerfully with either foot. He may be that rare ambidextrous footballer.

  7. Updated once more. Zips Roster UPDATE SPRING 2017.pdf Some of the Missing are freshman from the current class, why they're not on it (greyshirts?) I have no idea. Only reporting what's posted on GoZips. Note: I take what's posted on GoZips with a grain of salt. Often I see player disappear and reappear on it months later. No idea how "official" these rosters are. I'm willing to bet a lot of the FR will show up on the roster in the future, but as of RIGHT NOW are not on the "official" GoZips roster. I prematurely added the freshman class in Springball, thinking they'd be on the roster by training camp...who knows. Enjoy. Classes are a little more...balanced...than in previous years 21-21-26-25. MISSING FROM PREVIOUS: FR S Reggie Corner (RB) FR S Jerome Cooper FR DB Zaire Jacobs FR DB Marquess Callaway FR DL Marcus Kidd FR DL Malik Townsend FR DL Tracy Jordan FR DL Joe Corner FR RB Marquess Bridges FR RB Kennedy Pickens FR WR Justin Sampson FR K Jonah Weiland FR QB Drew Hodgson FR WR Mitch Cooper (RS) FR OL Motel Jordan (RS) FR OL Josh Snow (RS) FR OL Tito Vasquez (RS) FR P Peyton Coffman (RS) SO LB James King SO DL Davon'te Jest JR WR Anthony Lauro JR DB Myrian Mounds (RS) JR WR Brandon Mitchell SR OL Matt Blaha SR OL Ryan Kortokrax ADDED SINCE PREVIOUS: SO LB Dean Ramicone (RS) JR DB Caleb Green

  8. I wouldn't worry too much about that. The folks who make these predictions only look at the previous season and how the team finished. They don't know too much about the current roster. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people.

  9. Here is the last installation of my MAC Media Day interviews. I was able to speak to Coach Bowden for 10-or-so minutes. The event was much more well-attended than I anticipated. With so many different radio, TV, print and blog reporters vying for everyone's time, it was pretty difficult for a reporter to get an uninterrupted audience. I'd have prepared, and handled it differently if I did it again. This interview started in the hallway...then went into the TV studio...then we went back out in the hallway...and then back in the main ballroom. 10 "interview minutes" took roughly an hour and 15 minutes "real time" to complete. Coach Bowden Also - a few people said they had difficulty with the Warren Ball interview. Here is an embedded link that should be easy for anyone to open (same interview as before, just in a more user-friendly format). Warren Ball

  10. After an entertaining match last night, D-Nags is getting lots of praise. This from Grapham Parker at The Guardian, Britain's Daily football articles, Midfield We’ve mentioned Bradley and Acosta, but the link-up play of Darlington Nagbe got a sustained airing in this tournament, and of all the players in this US roster he may have done the most to solidify his claim. Clever, great on the ball, and always capable of driving at the box and earning dangerous free kicks, Nagbe also has a range of subtle movement in midfield that can be very effective for combining with Bradley when he’s making himself available for the ball further forward. Nagbe’s occasional diffidence is the knock against him – his positioning in the El Salvador quarter final threatened to make him anonymous. But then again he was quiet in the final before his smart run forward started the move that won the free kick Altidore scored from, while the more visible Arriola did plenty of conspicuous work without being noticeably more effective.

  11. Rookie winger Jonathan Lewis will make his first start for NYCFC today as they take on the Chicago Fire at Yankee Stadium. Lewis last featured for NYCFC back in June, playing the final 12 minutes of their late comeback victory over the Philadelphia Union and causing plenty of trouble down the flank. The SuperDraft pick out of Akron is part of a lineup that features three changes made by Head Coach Patrick Vieira for this double game week. ...

  13. Along with the incredibly important "Akron University" or "The University of Akron" concerns, I think we really need to make sure he knows Zippy is female. That's paramount. Those are the the top two concerns regarding Zips Football, if you ask me.
