The Zips have traditionally had a multi-dimensional and explose offense. Seniors Stuart Holthusen (7g 1a) and Sam Gainford (4g, 3a) and junior Ezana Kahsay are among the forwards who will be called upon to fill the void that exists in that department in 2017 due to the departure of Adam Najem (5g, 5a) and Jonathan Lewis (2g, 12a). A solid contingent of capable midfielders return led by senior Pau Belana. Junior Ben Lundt will give the Zips a solid and experienced presence in goal. The backline will require some reloading due to graduation.

  5. Thanks Doc. As pointed out above, TB's answers were kind of meh where we didn't really learn anything. That sort of leads me to believe Woody will be good to go week 1 without any setbacks, but who knows. I like that Reinke seems like a lock to start at right DE. I like what I saw out of him in limited time last year. Wasn't he originally a walk on? I never realized how much Keener loves tight ends

  8. This was a school record and not a position record. 2 incoming freshmen have set school records....about that local talent..... (the other was Dusty Burkhart - vertical leap)

  9. Balsy, We old Buchtelite scribes need to share stories, experiences and achievements, real and imagined. I'd like to meet too. Let's PM each other when we can attend a football or soccer game where we can meet for a brew. I'm sure we can solve all Zip challenges in one or two beers

  10. They drafted 4 WR and 1 TE in last year's draft. They drafted another TE in this year's draft. Of the 4 they drafted last year, Jordan Payton played 4 games before becoming injured, Corey Coleman missed the first four games due to injury. Rishard Higgins and Ricardo Louis were the only two that played all year. This year the Browns Drafted Jabril Peppers (S/PR/KR). Is JoJo Natson a better prospect than any of those guys at either WR, PR or KR? Is Jerome Lane really a better prospect than any of those guys at WR? Lane looked okay against the 3rd string. I doubt it. I do wish the Browns would have taken a chance on one of them UDFA, but they did take a chance (and still have) Jamal Marcus, who most here assumed was the most NFL ready of those going into the draft last year.

  13. They have to be healthy to be integrated. That seems to have been a problem for the last 2 years.
