I don't recall many posters WISHING for what happened with Coach D leaving.....we all know this is not likely to be a 20 win season, so get off your high horse and watch some b-ball.3 points

Agreed but a 11-2 Toledo should be playing a higher profile opponent than an 8-5 Ohio. It seems to me that the best bowl matchups involving MAc schools now go to those teams who have to fill slots because other conferences did not have enough eligible teams.2 points

I like it. Let's keep an edge to this team. I think they will surprise the rest of the East and be playing well come tournament time. We probably deserve a #4 but we will be better than that once coach Groce gets his culture established.2 points

I don't know where this information coming from Dambrot didn't actually take no talent with him what team were you watching the talent that stayed and the talent we added is probably the best athletic team Akron has seen for a while. There is no shortage of talent on this team , even Eubanks has a prominent roll on this team which I couldn't understand why he didn't last year because last season beside IVEY , and UTOMI EUBANKS was third most athletic on this team period! ZIPS FANS AND THE REST OF THE LEAGUE ARE GOING TO BE SUPRISED ON HOW QUICK THIS TEAM GELS AND RISE BACK TO THE TOP OF THE MAC!!!!!!!1 point

awwww, c'mon.... who doesn't want a large chunk of turf covered concrete for Christmas? Could make them in 2" cubes, add some string, and call them ornaments... We should buy the whole damn lot of concrete and do this ourselves as a fundraiser!!1 point

Young being out for the remainder of the season should give an opportunity to someone...... Something else to add. Zero snaps for Gladney. Not sure if he is/was injured or not. If not, I'm glad to be seeing the rotation tightened up some.1 point

The season is now officially over for WSOC, but it ended brightly, as the team battled a very good Buffalo team to a 2-2 double overtime draw. Rachel Bachman scored about half way through the match and Buffalo equalized just before half. Bachman hit again just past 50 minutes gone but Buffalo equalized 30 seconds later. Rylie Howman and Kiki got assists and Jiu was very active in goal and had several great saves. In fact she's the first Zipper GK to record 100 or more saves in a season, and she's just a freshman. So, a win over Miami, followed by double OT draws with the top team from the West Ball State and the third best team in the East Buffalo to finish the season with a 3 match unbeaten streak. Not too shabby. Not great, but they didn't roll over and play dead after the long losing streak. And only 1 senior leaving. These women are not afraid to take the ball to the net and are beginning to learn how to give it as good as they take it physically. 2018 is a long way off, but I think this will be a MAC Tournament team in 2018. Z.I.P and I were both wrong on our predictions for the record....1 point

I'm pretty sure I can figure it out. I was using classic HTML formatting but the output looks nothing like I was expecting (bordered table) so obviously the backend is doing something different than expected. I just saw the preview icon in the toolbar so I'll play around with some tables and see what I can do for next week. Warning for next week - I'm not going to be listing the players' #s that are in on each play (too time consuming)1 point

I have watched a lot of Oklahoma football this season to keep my eye on #9 so I've seen Baker Mayfield play a lot. He's a freaking gamer. He's listed at 6'2" so not your prototypical NFL QB size wise but he's tough, unflappable, smart, and accurate. No way he goes #1 unless he crushes the Combine and interviews.1 point

I was the lone vote for Buffalo winning the game. It was actually me fat fingering it on my phone. I think Zips by 5 or less.1 point

I still say the MAC should have a designated bowl destination for its champion if not in the New Years Six and that this bowl should be against a power 5 conference representative.1 point

I fear playing in the Bahamas Bowl because I'll be in Miami that day. The logistics would be tempting, but more than epic. I would have to catch a bus in Miami to the train station at 6 am, take the train to Fort Lauderdale, take a three hour boat "shuttle" to the Bahamas arrive near 11 am, find my way to the stadium, more than likely have to leave by 4:30 pm to catch the three hour boat back to Fort Lauderdale. Take the 40 minute train ride back to Miami, and take a bus back to my condo by, oh, I would guess 11:30 pm. ? Just win the MAC please.1 point
