  2. Nice call going back to Williams for the bunny. Gotta like that. Well done by all.

  3. Bigger question: how is Central losing this? (At the moment)

  4. If we lose, that will really hurt Northwestern's RPI.

  5. There is no way this team gets bowl eligible, especially with 11 games.

  6. 17-0 at the half. Zero Akron penalties, but two fumbles. One inside the opponent's ten. Just doing enough to beat a weak CMU team. Won't be like this next Thur vs NIU.

  7. Fumbles, dropped passes. The eight of us here are looking forward to overtime.

  8. +1. Larry Williams has to make a move. Insist Bowden make a move at OC. If not, I suppose we’ve gotta clean house (which I don’t really want to do). This product is not worth spending $$ to watch.

  9. 1st unsportsman-like call KN1 did not deserve. Cheap shot to take the shoe. Very poor officiating.

  10. Knight be the bright spot of the day. Best returner since JoJo.

  11. When CMUs field goal hit the upright, it shook the stadium. Then we did the same.

  12. KN1 is throwing some scary passes...1 outright drop...receivers not getting open.

  13. Ran the ball for positive yards to setup the pass. Hmmm, sounds like a good plan. I like giving Williams a chance to redeem himself there.

  14. Finally running on first down for positive yards.

  15. I hear this in my sleep: "Kato Nelson's pass incomplete."

  18. Nice seeing talk of the Lady Zippers on this board.

  19. This is probably one of the most insightful comments I have seen on this site. It has been said previously. But, coaches have to be capable of coaching up the talent THEY have recruited. I have not seen anything, especially on offense that indicates this staff can do that.

  20. Maverick Wolfley is a good receiving option.

  21. Watched some of the Toledo/WMU game last night. Don't know how it ended. Couple of things struck me. There seemed to be a noticeable difference' a higher level, in the offensive line play in this game than what we see from the Zips. And,WMU was playing with its back up QB and was still very competitive against one of the best teams in the MAC,at least in the first half. And,didn't Guadani go to Hudson High school? Did Akron recruit him?

  22. 3 to 2 win on the road to even their record at 9-9-2 and back in the MAC tourney for the first time in 4 years!

  23. Even though the game is at Akron... They do have a sweet court (and a beautiful campus)

  24. I'd agree with this in most any other case, but my biggest beef is Duquesne showcasing its brand to the recruits in our area, especially when they aren't going to be playing us.

  25. https://gozips.com/news/2018/10/24/womens-swimming-diving-akron-swimming-and-diving-debuts-at-22-in-national-poll.aspx Zips Women swimming and diving now ranked #22 IN THE NATION!!! Dual against Buffalo Friday at Ocasek.... It'll take your mind off the MSOC team being in the dumper, and football struggling..... Forgot to add - believe it or not, Friday's meet is TELEVISED on ESPN3! Way to go Athletic Department to get this on the ESPN schedule!

  26. A little late on this, but boy was Saturday a lot of fun out at Silver Creek Metro Park as U of A hosted the 2018 All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country meet. The weather was phenomenal and the Zips hosted well. They even brought in this neat system with a huge black panel truck where each side and the rear turned into bigscreen TVs and they flew a drone over the race ans broadcast it on the truck screens! Great addition. About 50 Universities and colleges competed in three Divisions - D1, D2/NAIA and D3. The Zips Men's team won the overall race, but somehow, I can't figure it out but I'm no math major, they finished second in D1 to Ohio. The women finished 3rd in D1. Andre Bollam-Godbot made a strong finish to place second and McKenzie Andres of Akron finished 4th. The Zips men have now won the event 3 times, I think. Anyway, a nice weekend afternoon rooting for the Roos.
