  1. I spoke to Dr. Miller today and he assured me that the opinions on anonymous forums will be given strong consideration in his review of the AD and the football program. He urged all critics to post the same things repeatedly to make sure their points got through.

  2. You need to work on your reading comprehension. The considerable majority of those who wanted Bowden gone are disappointed with what's happening this year, they've just decided to be patient and not predict the future based upon only 6 games (especially when there's no quick fix available).

  3. Damn man you must be the life of your tailgate party! There isn’t a single person on this forum who is happy the team is losing, but get some perspective. It’s a game...played by amateur athletes...in Akron, Ohio. Maybe I’m foolish because I just don’t think any of this rises to the level of disaster. Yes, I go to every single game thinking they will win. I cheer for the team, I get my picture taken with Zippy and I eat an overpriced hotdog. If they lose I’m disappointed, but the beer is still cold back at the tailgate and there’s always next week. So you’ll have to ignore me because I’m going to keep being foolish.

  4. Appreciate the support for Dusty, I have avoided posting while he was on the team. We appreciate everything Akron has done for him. We are going to miss watching him play. He has been trying to play through Ocular Migraines triggered by hard hits. He has lost his vision a couple times during games & has tried medication & emergency medicine when there is vision loss. Outside of football he has no symptoms & he carries a 3.8 and is part of The University of Akron’s #11th ranked Financial program & will miss football but will be ok Thanks Zipnation

  5. That last field goal attempt would have been good if the posts were 100 feet apart. Go Zips

  7. Worst O Line I've ever seen. Slightly optimistic on Gibson.

  8. Announcer said our offense is averaging 2 yards per play on the season. Horrible OL play will do that. DL is not much better.

  10. Huskies scored 3 goals in second half. Mountaineers had 15 corner kicks, Huskies had 2

  12. I've hit my limit of reactions to post, so I'm replying instead. This is extremely well said. At the core, we are fans, simply fans for our team.

  13. So you mention the university being strapped for cash in one breath and call for the firing of the coach in another? Seems like doubling down on the issue to me.

  14. I love when people say "move on"...it's lazy, and paves the way towards acceptance and apathy. UA in my opinion, deserves better. The only way you do better, is by analyzing the mistakes of the past. Firing Terry Bowden was a mistake. Holding on to Ianello for too long would have been a mistake...hell letting him have a second year was a mistake. We need to understand that, and we need to prevent it from happening in the future, or there won't be a UA football program worth saving. Yes it is that obvious that he should have been kept: your University is strapped for cash, he had two years left on his contract, he had been in the history of D-1 football at UA the most successful coach, and there weren't any viable options of replacement out there. It's pretty damn clear he should have been kept. And we need to learn that lesson.

  15. Awww man... I was thoroughly enjoying revisiting a schedule with VMI on it as our only win that year... You're no fun. And to think we're only halfway through the football season having this discussion, and we still have an entire basketball season to debate Groce vs. Dambrot. ?

  16. Can we move this entire Bowden v. Arth conversation into the ‘beating a dead horse’ thread? Bowden isn’t coming back and Arth isn’t going anywhere at least for the rest of this season and we are still flogging away at the topic. In the meantime a major contributor to the team announced that he can no longer play for medical reasons and the thread got a whopping 5 responses. The thread for tomorrow’s game has barely been used. There are more important things happening. Please join the rest of us in real time!

  17. Who are the local kids playing in this game? Of course, Vantrease at QB for Buffalo. Who else? I want to make sure to pay attention to them.

  18. Where was this comment in regards to Bowden? Like the hypocrisy on comments like this is just laughable...DON'T trust the process with Bowden (a proven commodity)...but Please trust the process with Tom Arth (an unproven commodity). Sometimes you DO have to just cut and move on...to use the Browns as an analogy: you didn't need season 2 and 3 of Hugh Jackson to know that Hugh Jackson wasn't going to cut it.

  19. That's fair. I know I come across as die-hard-Bowden...I'm really not. I thought Bowden brought us a little fun out of a miserable siutation...but if we hadn't seen another winning season by the END of his contract, then I would have been okay seeing him leave. I just feel that there was/is way too much good will for this staff by virtue of them being new. I really, really, really don't want to see this team dismantled the way it was under Ianello again. I highly doubt there is another Terry Bowden sitting out there to come rescue us back to middling mediocrity instead of utter dumpster fire.

  20. Wow, that last clip of Arth was not appealing.
