  1. I am totally intrigued by the comments on Ashton Kamdem. I really hope that Ashton Kamdem gets a tremendous amount of playing time at Left back. Embick on Kamdem – "Ashton is a quick left back that is a good two-way player. He can help us build out of the back and gives us a threat in final third as an overlapping fullback. He also is a solid defender that handles 1v1 situations well."

  2. Most times the court is designed to look best during basketball games, since the volleyball lines are just temporary. My guess is that mockup was created to present the new logo system and UA wanted something much simpler for the court. Usually designs are simplified to cut down on costs, but they already needed to paint gold for the wordmarks. I don't think a few extra gold stripes would break the bank.

  5. Figured. One thing the article did mention (despite not including some OL, who might actually increase these numbers) was the average OL size is 6'5" 305 lbs. That's huge. I watched the videos on Akron Football Twitter. - #1 Cam Wiley is a BIG boy at RB - Our WRs look skilled across the board - QBs throw beautiful balls. DJ Irons looks FIT

  6. I really don't see the need for any games to be played. Just have ALL teams perform football moves in front of a panel of judges and have the judges award points on a 1 to ten point scale (similar to spring board diving or gymnastics). The team with the most points is awarded the national championship. However I highly recommend dropping the high and low scores in coming up with total points because the Russian judges are notorious for biased scoring.

  7. Only one 16 seed in the basketball tournament has ever beaten a 1 seed, yet March Madness is one of the most exciting tournaments in sports. The transfer portal + playoff possibilities would greatly increase the level of G5 football. Would they beat Bama? Highly unlikely. Other P5s? Absolutely. This would vastly improve college football.

  8. I generally agree, but maybe the G5 schools could improve the caliber of their average recruit if a kid thought he could make the playoffs by attending a G5 program.

  9. Found a new one while watching "Behind the Attraction" on Disney+. 29 minutes in to episode 9, they reveal that the first visitors to Walt Disney World on the monorail were from Akron Ohio, which the Disney company found perfect as they thought it to be right in the middle of things.
