Groce has used the Transfer Portal in a couple of weeks to more success than Arth did in 2 seasons.

Yes, the MAC went to the 4-team tourney after CoVid for softball and baseball. Too bad too, because the tourney at Firestone Stadium was always so great in a superb setting. Hubby and his friends used to always go to Avon and spend the weekend to watch the baseball tourney, and they loved it. I thought I had heard rumor that baseball was going to go back to 8 teams next year and a neutral site. If so, why not softball? We'll have to see.

Wiley, Castle and Perez were given a spring semester scholarship the other day and told the starting LS, P, Kicker and if Perez is the starter then also the starting KO will be on scholarship next year. Obviously nothing is concrete until next year it could all change.

Oddly enough, I have us right at 85, assuming starting punter, PK, and LS will be on scholly. Various possibilities like signees from 2023 not coming, players retiring and not entering transfer portal, maybe someone like Hester was only put on scholly last year but not for this year? Additionally, Brian Kilbane is a player who walked on last year that is probably in line for a scholly... As always, if somebody knows something different than I'm assuming, please speak up. Does he contribute from Day 1? - What can we get out of Prather? 6'5" is amazing size for a guard, and if he produces, look out. - Does Ali Ali produce similarly to his 2021-22 stats? Do we see better ball movement like the end of 2021-22, or does the offense with the addition of Ali Ali revert back to Ali Ali backing down opponents with the occasional kick-out? I knocked the Kaleb Thornton transfer initially, but I did not realize he led the MAC last year in both assists and steals. He is the PERFECT PG for this team.
