  1. Now wait a minute, in the last minute of the 1st half Toledo scored 3 times, only to have them called back on penalties.....Then when they actually scored they had their XP blocked. I am 100% positive the Zippers could do all of that!

  2. Zips alum Darlington Nagbe and the Crew win the MLS Eastern Conference Championship “Hell is Real Derby”; Crew will host MLS Cup final on December 9th. ⚽️ in Ohio is doing well!!!

  3. Zips win an ugly one 55-49 at the JAR against Tenessee State. Thank goodness for Reagan Bass with 33 pts. Zips shot 7 for 38 FG without Bass' 9 for 12.

  5. Bradley fell to 6-2 yesterday with a loss at Indiana State. I am so looking forward to Tuesday. The week off only gives us more time to lament the three consecutive losses.

  7. Every team will lose at least a few players they don’t want to lose. That’s just the nature of the portal. Recruiting has not been an issue with this staff. Keep in mind they’ve only had one full offseason of recruiting. The first year was a crash course to make up ground and find quality HS prospects that were not already committed. The portal brought in a few guys from that class that have gone on to make All-MAC (SJL, Adams, Whigan, George, Martin). QB recruiting has been the biggest bugaboo so far. I say that and there’s always the chance Wasel, Bullock, or whoever is brought in this year will prove that statement wrong.

  8. It's also costing history at the expense of following the trends of CFP. Which, all this conference re-alignment mayhem has already ruined so much. Akron is a bit of a newcomer to the MAC, but teams like Kent, OU, Miami, BG, have been playing each other annually for about 70-80 years now. Now, that will be gone. I was hoping to MAC would be the outright rebel of the CFB world by straying away from expansion (we've done great with that), and sticking to the formula that's worked for nearly 30 years. Call me stubborn and old school, if you wish! Lol

  9. It works out perfect this year, but most commonly the MAC East in football is what the MAC West is in basketball. A 11-1 Toledo trying to get into the playoff and playing a 10-2 NIU is much preferred over the potential for playing a 7-5 MAC East champ. My only compliant would be us not being in the same pod as Ohio, as I'd like to play them along with Kent every year.
