  1. Sam Amico was on 92.3 today. Mentioned how well Freeman has been shooting in his workouts. Stock is way up and could see him going in the late first.

  3. Even if sending Enrique to the NBA isn’t a major draw in recruiting, it would remove a negative recruiting tactic done by other schools/coaches. They wouldn’t be able to tell an athlete he has NBA potential so why would you go to Akron where you are less likely to get noticed by NBA scouts. That said, every time Akron is mentioned during the NCAAT it is instant advertising. So I have to agree with you all.

  5. I'm hoping a Mexican drug cartel sponsors a field just to prove how shameless athletic directors are.

  6. The Davidson/Curry example makes for a strong argument. Davidson had basically the same Kenpom rating as Akron last year.

  7. Those are three different elephants. Let's focus on the athletic one. I believe the athletic department should benefit the athletes students alumni fans and general community around Akron. Giving the taxpayers of Ohio a good gameday experience could make them believe their hard earned money being spent on public universities is a good thing. A paved highway makes taxpayers feel good. A pothole filled highway makes taxpayers bitter. The old scoreboard was a pothole filled highway.

  8. An adult dance club should sponsor one of the leagues - that would at least be more accurate to the actions of these power conferences. Nobody wants this level of corporate involvement. This decision is getting destroyed, and these spineless commissioners and ADs don't care as long as their pockets are lined. All it would take is for a group of people with integrity, morals, and a spine to say, "SEC, Big Ten - you can go sword fight in the same urinal together. We don't want to play your game and instead want to cater to the fans of COLLEGE ATHLETICS, not your semi-pro BS. Enjoy whatever the future has in store." Then create a separate league that goes back to the roots of college athletics. Side note: I did see someone suggest that Anheuser-Busch should sponsor a league and name it Busch League. I might be able to get on board with that haha.

  9. Thanks for posting this. I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the news. If I may, I'd like to throw in some more adjectives. In addition to stupid, it's gross, disgusting, greedy, obnoxious, degrading, nauseating, and predictable.

  11. If you’re not a fan of whoever’s logos are on the field, just look up and observe all the fine logos covering up some of the best places to sit as a GA ticket holder. Gotta favor the Tuesday ESPN watchers over the actual fans in attendance.
