That definitely was an issue and likely why he completely fell out of the rotation. I do think the speed of the American game, especially the pace Akron wanted to play, was too much of an adjustment for him. Not because he wasn't athletic enough, but because he lacked the ability to make the right basketball play in split second decision making.
D1 college basketball, even at the MAC level, is a higher level of competition than you see at many of these 2nd or 3rd tier overseas leagues.
