You aren't the only one. It is an unfortunate coincidence. I have no doubt the basketball staff is seeing and thinking everything we are. (We weren't so sure with football and Milwee.) The coach can't make the ball go thru the basket. My guess is that they are trying to compensate for the problems on the offensive end by focusing on defense and trying to keep the score low. That's not working either. Im sure the coaches can't keep on telling the players not to take 3s and think the players will keep confidence in their stroke.

I'm just musing after depressing loss.

My cousin who works at UTC said the same thing. He may have been what we needed. In a few years, Zips may not be the attractive landing point for a coach that we were two years ago.

We need more points than the other team. Don't shoot the 3 but if you do follow it but also make sure you get back on defense. Box out. Make your lay ups. Get more rebounds than the opponent. No empty possessions. Lots of problems here. Hopefully back to even in the MAC by Wednesday

Since we have the UTC pipeline (and one of my best friends works at UTC), I keep an eye on what the Mockingbids and Lamont Paris are doing. He was 10-23 (3-15) last year. He's 10-10 (5-2) so far this year. Watched the end of their game with Citadel today. It was close but they won. Made some clutch shots and free throws. College of Wooster grad and former Akron asst as you all know.

Change the line up how? He could bench LCJ and start Roscoe. Scott Walter? EMan? The cupboard is bare. Again, I look at BG and what Huger has done. His first two years stunk. Now something is working for them. Next year the MAC will be more wide open. I hate how this year is going, but there was no big guy other than Eman and no point guard at beginning of last season. I'm hoping the Zips are learning what their good at being and doing. After the last game, Deng said the coach told them EMU would get dunks but not to worry about it. Basically, don't get emotional and try and answer quickly. They play best when they don't try and make up points quickly or go for the dagger 3. Up by 7 look for the good shot to go up by 9 instead of the big 3 pointers that miss and lead to a transition 3 on the other end.

Were you at the game last night? The fans had a great time. Exciting ending. No one was "clutching their pearls" over Mark's departure. Team played well and chemistry was good. Maybe you should start attending their games. Maybe that program fits your needs
