Who are some coaches who successfully transitioned from DIII to DI? My gut is that isn't the route UA will take with this (and I have no evidence to back that up).
By accident, I just read the last post on page 1 of this thread. I thought it was a post from today an not 4 years ago apart from the mention of Kyle Pohl. And again someone was taking Zipsoutsider to task.
This is such a huge hire. Do or die moment for the program. Williams will do it right like he did with men's basketball. Also, Melissa Jackson for WBB appears to be a good choice as well.
That is such lazy ass writing. "deserve credit" "self inflicted wounds" "inability to make shots" "progress is stalled" He writes like those guys who blog for MAC Hustlebelt.
How about: " Senior Jimond Ivey lights up the arena with 25 points and 12 rebounds and the Zips defense stymies Detroit Mercy"
don't think he should be giving any one tips on "style." how many assists did Akron have compared to Detroit? 18 to 4 or something like that. I consider that plenty of selfless style.
Uhh...not encouraging to GT. First line from his lame article:
"It’s fortunate style points have little to do with actual basketball games because, based on the performance of the University of Akron men’s team Saturday, the Zips would get few."
i get it. they are intense players going at a high level. and i like that they have that attitude and killer instinct. but it was really clear from where I was that it wasn't necessary. refs were good tonight about letting things play out. good point on Detroit being like a lower tier MAC team. Reminded me of the last Miami team under John Cooper.
