No video board. No Keith Kennedy. That to me is a win. Frankly, I didn't notice the board working or not working. I mean I might have looked over if they played the ending of 1912 Zips/Marshall game for the 1000th time. The commercial breaks were horrible, and I do think they zapped the Zips momentum at one point. My tickets didn't download on to my phone, so they let me head on in. I thought everything was good otherwise. Noticed the cheerleaders are the last to get re-branded. The band was good and it was a beautiful night. Also, thought Moorehead managed the game well. The team didn't panic and seemed to be enthused throughout. The two sportsmanship penalties were the only downers for me.

I think I'm the only one who got this. FINALLY!!

A fun win. I'm certain the prior coaching staff would have lost that game. There were some insufferable penalties, but Moorhead managed the game well. This team didn't panic.

Well, last season Zips wouldn't have recovered that fumble. So there's that.

I would sure hate for the Zips to go into the MAC tourney as the 5th or 6th seed. No way they could recover from that.

I'm incredibly happy to see any men's basketball schedule. January 4 - 21 will be brutal for us fans with only ONE home game during that 3 week stretch. The Maine Bears? That's random! Would have been better to get Vermont Catamounts in the JAR?

saw on Twitter there's a "clear plastic tote" rule. not sure how we can bring a blanket or rain gear. Also, they will need to install metal detectors if the goal is to prevent weapons from coming in to stadium.

I mean for fans. I was referring to the post above that mentioned not being able to attend these tournaments. but this is only one game.

I'm going to jump in and say it doesn't work for me. Frankly, just because we had 9 other logos doesn't mean we need to add a 10th. Talk about brand exhaustion. Frankly, I don't know what was so awful about previous logos. The A with the Kanagroo was very cool. The Kangaroo is unique to Akron (and I guess UMKC). Why not go back to that logo. Who was the one who objected to that? Why did they move to the "Z." How many schools use the first letter of their mascot as their brand? "F" for Bowling Green? W for Wolverines? T for Trojans? I'm not even sure where the script Akron came from? It's all just too much. I think they should have simply gone back to the A with the Kangaroo and stuck with it. Everyone wants to make their mark and put their imprimatur on the program. When that happens, you get brand exhaustion and confusion.

agree, although he's no where in the league of Hurley on level of obnoxious. I hated him at OU but was totally on the Groce wagon once Zips hired him. Noting the story in the Transfer Portal thread, regarding players threatening to leave the power conference teams if they aren't compensated...I could see why a coach would want to stay at a mid major and not deal with that headache

Maybe this has been going on forever.. although 800k seems like a lot. I wonder how teammates feel when he drives up to practice in a Mercedes and wearing a Rolex while they don't have those same deals? Or would all the players make that much?
