Quite a surprising run by the Zips this year. Of all the games I watched, Buffalo was clearly the toughest test. They totally out class the Zips at every level. -

Dyaisha Fair, who looks like she is 35, is on fire. Zips women have habit of going dumbfoundingly cold at times. -

Another reminder that the regular season doesn't matter. -

As expected. Come on Redbirds -
Agree. Amazing the Zips haven't met Toledo since 2009. I don't have expectations for this evening. If Toledo wins, I hope they win on Saturday.

Uhhh...Ball State women taking it to Toledo right now. Up by 14 in first half. Of course, 14 doesn't mean much these days. See "Bobby Hurley" thread. -
Did you watch the end of the UTC/Furman game? 🤨 Was that Garvin? Amazing how those guys can keep their focus when the fans are hiding under their chairs on the sticky floors.

https://ubbulls.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/loren-christie/5863 Loren Christie reminds me of former Buffalo men's star Jeremy Harris: so incredibly smooth on the court, Silent assassin. -
https://overthepylon.boards.net/thread/4505/official-2021-basketball-excuse-failure Here's hoping our friends in Muncie get their new coach. (not that I wouldn't be happy if they kept Whitford a few more years)

Watched parts of the re-play a couple times last night. Segu's 3 was damn close to going in. Ugh. Don't know what to expect from game this evening. This is Toledo's best chance to get to March Madness since the 80s! I think they have an advantage in that the basketball gods owe them. In the other game, i expect Garretsville Tech to crush the Nelsonville Kittens. Kittens are out of shape and Ball State was effing awful.

2021-2022 Zips Women's Basketball

Tall order for the women today. Saw some of the Buffalo women's team yesterday at the Fieldhouse. They carry themselves with a lot of confidence. Zips and Toledo only schools to have both men and women in the semis. -
Considering the snow storm may be hitting late, the 5pm start may be a blessing.
-
72Roo: I noticed as well that he does that drive and his shots never are close to going in. He's like 1/2 of LCJ and without the dramatic head jerk when someone touches him. I can't speak to Ali situation but Groce had most confidence in Tribble at the line. Tribble also doesn't make many turnovers or get called for charges like a Dawson might because he's so broad. Castaneda doesn't seem to have the same success with that move drawing fouls.
-
Hurley AND Marreon Jackson.
-
His contract may be up according to our friends at Over The Pylon.
-
I would. They played Whitford and Ball State. I knew Central would put up much more of a fight than Ball State. Central had a good coach and players who seem to listen to their coach or a coach who gives them something to listen to.
-
I have equal disgust for these two trashy teams with classless fans. So happy one will knock out the other tomorrow.
-
So frustrating to watch. His players just run down and chuck up a 3 or blow into the paint. Don't pass. Don't set up a play.
-
Does Whitford even coach? He sends his players out on the floor and basically they do whatever they want
-
Awful, out of control performance by Ball State. Taylor and VanderPlaz need to step away from the buffet line. Zips in much better shape.
-
Geez. Broke the curse
-
They started playing not to lose. Against an experienced team.
