  1. Coach Groce is willing to speak to press after a loss. A former coach wouldn't do that. Discuss
  2. Fair enough. I doubt it bothers him. He has bigger issues to think about. Joe and Skozcen always seem more respectful. And I wasn't saying this because I thought it would bother Groce. To me, it reflects GTs overall casual attitude towards covering the Zips.
  3. BG told to travel to Buffalo tonight. NIU hasn't played a game in the MAC. (BTW it's a good game on ESPN3. Both looking for first MAC win) The UB men’s schedule has also been rearranged. The Bulls had their scheduled game Saturday against Bowling Green moved to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Alumni Arena. In a 91-81 loss to Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday at Alumni Arena, the Bulls committed 17 turnovers, and the RedHawks scored 18 points off the Bulls’ miscues. Then, when UB’s game at Akron was moved from Feb. 1 to Saturday, the Bulls were without forwards Josh Mballa and Tra’Von Fagan due to Covid019 protocols in a 88-76 loss. Their absences came three days after a 91-81 loss to Miami (Ohio) at Alumni Arena. Miami's program subsequently was paused due to Covid-19 issues.
  4. So what's Terry's next endeavor?
  5. I didn't know.
  6. I'm betting on "union"
  7. I listened to some of his questions to Groce after the game. I think GT is rude. I don't like how he calls him "John" instead of "Coach." You know Groce is biting his tongue and wants to respond, "What an effing stupid question, GEORGE!"
  8. Quite a game between Muncie and Ravenna. Of course, Whitford blows it at the end. Down by 1 with 11 secs and the Redbird throws up a brick from 3. flashes will give bobcats all they can handle saturday
  9. I'm in agreement with the two prior posts. Really happy that they didn't fold and made Ohio blow that 15 point lead. That turnaround happened really fast with help from Boals getting T'd up. Groce was sanguine after the game. Very, very fortunate Akron had these two tough games at home. Would this had been different with Trimble and games against Radford, BG, and NIU in their pocket. Likely. Stay healthy. Get to Cleveland.
  10. And of course, as I predicted a crazy 3 pointer by Ohio.
  11. Quite a turn of events.
  12. Well, again, Ohio better. ZIPS make small run and Ohio answers. Groce T'up.
  13. Time to call it a night. Out-played by a deeper, tougher, smoother team. As bad as Ohio at Akron in 2019.
  14. Down by 5, Freeman gets 3rd foul and Aziz comes in and all goes to crap
  15. Then off to Oxford on Saturday. Brutal start to mac
  16. No easy shots. Just think Ohio will be able to sit on this lead
  17. Zips get within 3 then busted defensive coverage. Just feels like Ohios going to keep a lead throughout this game
  18. Not much of a crowd either. It's picked up a bit
  19. I see Garvin but no Trimble. There's some little guard dressed who I don't recognize. Can't see his #
  20. The first one of us who shows up at the JAR will have the answer for you
  21. Well, what kind of attitude is that? 😀
  22. Wynn made a few unexpected steals. They will need that quickness Tuesday night
  23. The only time I watched the Hocking Hills team was when they played Kentucky. They were shooting lights out from 3 until KY locked down their defense. I can see the Zips having a 7 or 8 point lead going into the last few minutes and then one of their guys starts making NBA 3s. Isn't that how it always goes? (or it seems like it does)
  24. I hate to say it but Nelsonville looks like the best so far, but many years the Zips looked the best at this point. Toledo flamed out last year and I wonder if that was because they ended up playing many more games than a few others
